Itinerary

Pass by

Begin the day with a hotel pickup in a comfortable minibus/SUV. The group will drive through Stanley Park, which is a 405-hectare public park that borders the downtown of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by waters of Vancouver Harbour and English Bay. The park has a long history and was one of the first areas to be explored in the city.

Pass by

The group will drive over a prominent Vancouver landmark, the Lion’s Gate Bridge, a 5,890-foot (1,823-meter) bridge that offers unparalleled views of Vancouver Harbor, English Bay, and beyond.

Admission included120 min

Rising 1,250 metres (4,100 feet) above Vancouver and just 15 minutes from the city’s downtown core, is the vast alpine playground of Grouse Mountain. The iconic Red Skyride gives visitors and locals alike the opportunity to see the jaw-dropping majestic nature of B.C. unfold in front of them during the 8 minute ride from the Valley Station to the summit. As Vancouver’s most popular attraction, Grouse Mountain is the only truly four-season destination in the lower mainland and features a wildlife refuge, vast selection of dining options, thrilling outdoor adventure, in the summertime, walk along the mountain top meadows and witness the world-famous Lumberjack show. Visit Grinder and Coola, two resident grizzly bears and enjoy a 'Birds in Motion' demonstration at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. Attend a movie at the 'Theatre in the Sky' before heading back. The best in local snow sports…and much more. One thing is for certain: there is no place quite like the Peak of Vancouver.

Admission included90 min

Next, head over to a world-famous foot bridge, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, to walk among the towering trees of the surrounding temperate rainforest and to learn the traditions of the Coast Salish indigenous people. Then the group will be guided across the infamous 446-foot (136-meter) bridge to the other side of the river. Climb onto the canopy and walk through the Treetop Adventure walkway high above the canyon and river below. For those seeking a more thrilling experience, try the 'Cliffwalk', the newest attraction at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. This adrenaline-pumping journey travels through the rainforest on a series of suspended walkways built out from the granite cliff face to give the group access to unexplored territories of the park.

Disappointing

Do it yourself, this experience costs a lot and all the “guide” did was drive and spout off endless jargon which had nothing to do with the trip. He basically did nothing related to the main purpose of the trip. Also we were the only ones that had to take 15 minute taxi ride to the pick up place. Because he didn’t have our correct hotel and he never apologized. I tried to contact him with the given contact information to give him our correct hotel but he never responded . Would definitely not recommend this experience.

Knowledgeable tour guide and beautiful views

Kevin was amazing, and gave us a great tour and details of Vancouver. My boys had a blast at the rope bridge and enjoyed the otter balls. It’s amazing how someone built that whole setup in the trees. We went on a rainy day, so was tough to see much off Grouse mountain. But, the bears were right next to the fence and restaurant had a great view of valley and lake below. Would definitely recommend as an intro to city and highlight that you don’t get to see most places.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you and your boys had such a great time exploring Vancouver with Kevin. He truly loves sharing the city's stories and hidden gems, and we're so glad his knowledge helped make your day even more memorable. Capilano Suspension Bridge is always an adventure, especially for families, and we're happy your boys enjoyed the treetop walk and the "otter balls"! Even though the rainy weather limited the views from Grouse Mountain, it's great that you were able to see the grizzly bears up close and enjoy the beautiful scenery from the restaurant. Thank you for recommending our tour as a great introduction to Vancouver. It was a pleasure having your family with us, and we hope to welcome you back on another adventure the next time you're in the city! Warm regards, The Vancity Tours Team

Does what you want it to do but there may be other far cheaper options.

The locations and our tour guide (Alex) were great. It is a pretty expensive and both locations visited may offer free shuttles that travellers should look into before booking this. Both sites are pretty close to the city and you really are just being dropped off at each one and then you are on your own. I would have appreciated a bit more time at Grouse Mtn and a bit more orientation of what you could do there. Alex did some great narration on the way and provided some interesting tidbits.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed both Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain, and that Kevin commentary and local insights made your journey more enjoyable. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him! We also appreciate your comments regarding the itinerary and time at Grouse Mountain. We carefully design our tours to balance the experience at both attractions while keeping the schedule comfortable for all guests. Your suggestion about providing more orientation at Grouse Mountain is very helpful, and we'll certainly take it into consideration as we continue to improve our tours. Thank you again for choosing Vancity Tours. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure in Vancouver! – The Vancity Tours Team

Highly recommend!

Eric, our tour guide, picked us up in front of our Airbnb. We first went to the Capilano suspension Bridge. We got there earlier than the big tour buses so the crowds were less. We had plenty of time to explore and then we headed to Grouse Mountain. The day was beautiful, and the views were spectacular. We also loved that we were able to skip the lines for admission. We really enjoyed the small group experience and would highly recommend!

Operator response

Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you had such a wonderful day with Erick. Starting early at Capilano Suspension Bridge before the larger crowds arrive is one of the advantages of our small-group tours, and we're so glad you enjoyed the experience. It's great to know you appreciated the beautiful views from Grouse Mountain, the skip-the-line admission, and the personalized service. Creating relaxed, memorable experiences is exactly what we strive for. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Vancouver for another adventure soon! – The Vancity Tours Team

Stan was a wonderful tour guide

Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard the entire time but Stan made it worthwhile! He was amazing and went over and above to make sure we had a great time. One of our friends left something on the bus when our tour was over and he drove over an hour to find us to return it.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your experience! Although Vancouver's weather didn't fully cooperate, we're so happy to hear that Stan made your day special. He truly cares about our guests and always goes above and beyond to create memorable experiences. Returning the forgotten item was simply another example of his dedication and kindness.
