Described as the heart of the Capital, St George’s Square is Valletta’s largest and most prominent square. Dating back to the 17th century, it has witnessed some of the most notable occasions in the Island’s history including royal visits, victory celebrations and even the presentation of the George Cross in 1942.
The theatre received a direct hit from aerial bombing in 1942 during World War II. Prior to its destruction, it was one of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in Valletta. After several abandoned plans to rebuild the theatre, the ruins were redesigned by the Italian architect Renzo Piano and in 2013 it once again started functioning as a performance venue, called Pjazza Teatru Rjal.

Very nice and fun experience. They arranged me to be with a small group instead of a larger group that also booked, and accommodated my short notice booking. Driver was safe and made sure we could handle the segways and keep up. Segways were in good condition. He knew a lot of information and history and took us to great places of interest. It was nice to be able to get down small roads and tight areas that larger vehicles would not. Highly recommend as a fun way to learn and travel around the highlights.

This was the best way to see the city while having a blast doing it. After the tour we watched a movie telling all about the history of the island.

Our tour guide Saif was great! He was kind, funny and we learnt a lot about the history of the city thans to him. He even tried to speak some french with us! Doing segway was a great experience
We enjoyed exploring the streets of Valletta with guide Saif. The Segways were easy to use once we got the hang of them. Some streets were crowded but Saif managed to get us to all the spots safely. It was fun trying something new and felt like an easy way to get around on a hot day.
Great communication from Luke our Segway guide. He shared lots of information as we travelled around. The trip went far too quickly. Included in the ticket was 45 minutes at the Malta Experience I personally would have rather spent longer out on the segways
Fun and unique way to see Valletta. Saif was our guide? He was great! He has a great knowledge about not just Valletta but rest of Malta. He was also patient and helpful whilst we got used to the Segway. Would recommend for anyone who wants a different type of guided tour.
This Segway tour was one of the highlights of our trip! We had the most fantastic guide, Luke, who was brilliant and he made the tour a wonderful experience. We booked this as part of a hen weekend and none of us girls had ever been on a Segway before. Luke made sure we were all very comfortable from the beginning, take time with each of us to check we were ok, before setting off and seeing the sights. The segways were very easy to use, we stopped at some beautiful sights and Luke shared a few interesting facts about the area, before whisking us off to the next location. It was a perfect balance for us! High recommend booking this tour, you get to see so much of the beautiful city and it really is so much fun! Thanks Luke!
