Great tpur of some of the highlights of Valencia

A helpful tour of the old town and the amazing architecture of the City of Arts. E-bikes are great when the weather is hot as you can vary the amount of effort you want to put in. Our group was much smaller than other bike tours we came across.

A great way to see the city

This was a great way to see the city. The company were very accommodating in changing the day of out tour when heavy rain was forecast. The number of people on out tour was too high (16) so it didn't feel very personal at all and it was difficult to hear all the explanations. The bikes were not ready for us in time so we were 20 mins late departing & we were given little instruction as to how the bikes worked, this was possibly due to the large numbers for 1 guide. Our guide was friendly and informative and was willing to adapt the tour to our needs

A great way to see the city and the beach.

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Made a lot of stops during the first part of the trip and learned about the city’s history and culture. Valencia is extremely flat so the biking was not an issue and even easier with an e-bike. They do not provide helmets which was a bit of a concern at first but fact is no one seems to wear one here. A great way to see the city and get out to the port and the beach.

Best day!!

This was a perfect day…4 of us from a cruise ship took a taxi directly…received orientation how to use e-bike. Had a fantastic tour guide…Roberto who was very communicative in several languages. He provided so much history exposure, traditional market, ancient history (Arabian & Roman ruins), beach and even a quick stop for authentic Agua de Valencia. Best day yet!!!

Beautiful sights but disappointing ride

The tour was supposed to be 4 hours but we were done 75 minutes early. Felt very rushed. Hardly had time to look around & take pictures. We were supposed to have a stop at a market with time to shop, but we didn't even go there. The guide also took us through areas that were not designated for bike traffic but specific for pedestrians. It caused some dangerous maneuver ing around pedestrians and we got yelled at numerous times by very unhappy pedestrians. There were a few people having trouble figuring out their bikes but instead of helping them, he'd take off ahead and get frustrated with them. I believe this situation could have been avoided if there had been an orientation before we left; ie) operation of the ebikes. Some people weren't familiar with them. Also, go over expectations of the ride before you depart as maybe some of the riders would have declined. I had no problem with the ride as I'm an experienced cyclist and only took this ebike excursion as opposed to a regular bike as I thought it was going to be a 4 hour ride to see the sights. We saw many beautiful sights and the ride along the bike paths were great. I would not recommend this excursion to anyone who doesn't cycle regularly.

Operator response

Dear Jamie_H, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry that this experience did not meet the standards we strive to offer every day at ValenciaInBike. You are absolutely right: a 4-hour tour should never be rushed, the planned itinerary must be respected, and all participants should receive proper guidance and support before and during the tour, especially when using e-bikes. We also take your comments regarding bike safety and route choice very seriously. This situation does NOT reflect how we have typically operated our tours for the past 3 years. After reviewing what happened, we took immediate internal action. The guide for this tour is no longer part of our staff to prevent situations like this from happening again. And, as a sign of our commitment, we have refunded you the amount paid for your booking. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Valencia and the bike paths, but we sincerely regret the overall experience you had with the guide assigned to this tour. Your feedback helps us improve the training of our highly responsible official guides, the supervision of routes, and the pre-excursion information process. Thank you again for your honesty, and we apologize. Sincerely, The ValenciaInBike Team

a concise visit to the main Valencia sights

Very interesting tour, which shows the main Valencia sights in short time. Very knowledgeable tour guide and easy bicycle run. Just enough explanations. However, the guide should check all tour participants more often – one of elderly fell off the bike and he just drove further…
