A visit to Valencia Cathedral is one of the most fascinating experiences in the historic city centre. The building, built in Gothic style but enriched over the centuries with Romanesque, Baroque and Renaissance elements, immediately strikes for its grandeur and for the stratification of the different historical periods. One of the most interesting points of the visit is the Chapel of the Holy Grail, which according to tradition houses the chalice of the Last Supper. Even for those who are skeptical, the historical and symbolic value of the reliquary makes the chapel a very suggestive and atmospheric place. The cathedral also preserves beautiful works of art and architectural details that tell centuries of religious and cultural history of the city. No less exciting is the climb to Torre del Miguelete : after a long spiral staircase, the effort is amply rewarded by the 360-degree panoramic view of Valencia. From above you can admire the historic center, the squares and, in the distance, the very modern City of Arts and Sciences. In summary, it is a complete and very suggestive visit: art, history and an unforgettable panorama come together in a single experience that is absolutely worth the time dedicated. To avoid long lines, plan to visit early in the morning.
