The guided tour of the University of Coimbra includes: - School Hall - Joanine Library - St. Michael's Chapel - Royal Palace (Sala dos Capelos)
The visit of the Joanina Library is scheduled every twenty minutes. There is a library viewing time of maximum 10 minutes and no photos are allowed inside.

This is a fabulous 90-minute tour of the Royal Palace, the Chapel and the Joanina library. Our guide Felipe gave us just the right amount of history and explanations, with a fun sense of humour. He was extremely knowledgeable and easy to chat with. The tour allows you to bypass any lines into the sites, and you don't have to deal with tickets for each one. Felipe did it all with his phone. The pace of the tour was just right - not rushed nor too slow. We highly recommend it!
Our guide Felipe Freitas was great! He is just a living history book, knows so much and tells so enthusiastically, we enjoyed it!

This was a very educational experience. We learned about the former king’s palace, the history of the university, the chapel where the Kings worshipped and the Coimbra library, which was beautiful.
Our guide was Renan and he was fabulous! The tour was just not about the University but about the history of Portugal including cultural aspects. His knowledge of Portugal history is unbelievable. And his delivery was great. Run, don't walk to his tours.
