Fátima Private Tour: Shrine, Sacred Way & Shepherds’ Hometown

Description
Immerse yourself in a unique and intimate experience with a private guided walking tour of Fátima. Discover the story of the three shepherd children—Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta Marto—who witnessed the apparitions of Our Lady in 1917. Your tour will take you to the sacred sites of these apparitions, the shepherds' homes, the basilica where their tombs are located, and the places where the Angel of Peace appeared. For a more complete experience, choose the 4-hour option to complete the Way of the Cross along the path once traveled by the shepherds.

Itinerary
Meeting Point at the Tall Cross Alta of the Sanctuary
During the transport to the shepherds' house, take a moment for a photograph at the Shepherds' Roundabout (without disembarking).
We will walk a section of the Way of the Cross, starting from the 9th station out of a total of 14 stations commemorating the Passion of the Lord and a 15th corresponding to the Resurrection. Finally, we will reach the Calvary where a chapel dedicated to Saint Stephen is located. ** If you wish to complete the entire Way of the Cross, please select the option of an additional hour tour**.
Passing through the Loca of the Angel, the sacred site where the Angel of Peace appeared to the shepherd children during both the first and third apparitions.
Visit the home of Sister Lúcia, dating back to 1885. At the age of ten, she could neither read nor write when she first saw Our Lady at Cova da Iria, along with her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Lúcia was the only one of the three cousins who spoke with the Virgin Mary.
Explore the Arneiro Well gained prominence due to the second apparition of the Angel of Peace in the summer of 1916.
Discover the interior of the birthplace and residence of the Blessed Francisco and Jacinta Marto, the youngest siblings of the Marto family who witnessed the apparitions of Our Lady. This historic dwelling, erected in 1888, offers a profound glimpse into their lives.
Return transportation to the Sanctuary, passing by the church where the shepherd children were baptized for a photo opportunity (without disembarking).
Located exactly where the three little shepherds used to play during the first apparition, this Basilica now houses the tombs of these witnesses who experienced the apparitions of Fátima.
Here’s the revised translation with your requested phrase: --- Erected by the community in 1919, following a request from Our Lady during one of her apparitions, this sacred space features the image of Our Lady, symbolizing the exact spot where the shepherd children witnessed the heavenly visions on top of a holm oak tree. Take a moment to light a candle or collect water from the Sanctuary, connecting with the spiritual essence of this revered place.

Our private tour of Fatima was wonderful! Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and extremely thorough throughout the walking tour. He was professional, personable, and genuinely a great guy. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Fatima.
My family was so happy with Anildo’s tour of Fatima. It was comprised of a thorough explanation of the rich history of Fatima, shared with clear admiration and excitement. We walked through some parts of the property prior to the tour, but gained far more insight with Anildo’s tour. Absolutely wonderful.
Blown away by Fatima and it was on a much bigger scale than what i expected. Anildo was a great guide and I recommend doing the full 4 hour tour. The hike up through the stations of the cross to the Hungarian Cavalry Monument was exceptional.
The tour was wonderful, the guide Rita Almeida was super pleasant, everything was beautiful, the Basilica, the house of the little shepherds, it is really very worth doing the Total Way of the Cross
If you are going to do this tour you want someone with a good knowledge of Christianity as well as Fátima specifically. Anildo has both. An amazing and moving tour; we saw and learned a lot. Recommended.
The tour lasted 3 hours, so wear comfortable shoes . There’s a few hills, so make sure you can handle inclines. Our guide Enildo was very informative and professional. He walked at a comfortable pace and shared so many facts about Fatima and the three shepherds. Details were shared about the homes and countryside, trees, and food. We learned so many new facts that we never knew. Highly recommend this tour.
We had an outstanding experience touring Fátima with João. He was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about sharing the history, culture, and religious significance of the area. He took us to all of the important sites, and shared stories that brought the history and faith of Fátima to life. His local knowledge and personal connections made the experience especially meaningful. The tour was well organized, comfortable, and engaging from start to finish. João's warm personality and attention to detail made us feel welcome throughout the day. If you are visiting Fátima, we highly recommend João. He made our visit unforgettable and gave us a much deeper appreciation for the people, history, and spiritual importance of this remarkable place

Even though my family is not Catholic, this was a moving and special tour. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
The this private tour is a must for anyone traveling to Fatima. Our guide was wonderful. His knowledge of the area, the apparitions and Saints Jacinta and Francisco and Blessed Sr. Lucia was both interesting and very moving.
