This brand new tour recounts the stories of five different female designers, as well as spotlighting several up-and-coming créatrices from the African diaspora. Schiaparelli, Lanvin, Reboux, Paquin, and Chanel all shared these things: being daring, creative, and having a sense of what modern women needed. As their stories unfold, we learn how everything from their backgrounds to their values differed enormously. This tour will guide you through the so-called “triangle d’or” (golden triangle) of Parisian Haute Couture and you’ll come away inspired by these women who continue to shape and color our lives today. Come and expand your knowledge of the fashion world and “haute” couture and how these women came to be a marker of the fashion world.

We spent a pleasant two hours guided by Pat in and around the Place Vendome learning about six influential women of Paris fashion and seeing their premises (including the big CC of course). The stories were interesting and mostly previously unknown to us. Pat was accommodating when one of our group needed to sit down for a while because of a bad back.
