UNESCO Tomar, Batalha & Alcobaça World Heritage | Private Tour

Description
Our journey begins in Tomar, the legendary Templar City. Wander through the peaceful Mata dos Sete Montes and step inside the Castle and the Convent of Christ, recognized by UNESCO in 1983. Before leaving, enjoy free time to taste local cuisine in the charming streets along the Nabão River. In Batalha, prepare to be amazed by the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, an extraordinary monument built to celebrate one of Portugal’s most important victories. Its Gothic architecture and delicate stonework make it one of the country’s most breathtaking sights! We end the day in Alcobaça, home to one of the greatest Cistercian monasteries in Europe (UNESCO, 1989). Here, history and emotion meet inside the legendary tombs of King Pedro and Inês de Castro, one of the most beautiful and tragic love stories of Portugal. This tour offers a perfect blend of architecture, history, legends and scenery... ideal for travelers who want to discover the very best of Portugal’s World Heritage.

Sara was fantastic: enthusiastic, explained the history well, and made sure we appreciated the details that made each site special. The pace was perfect. We were very pleased with our day, especially with so much information to fit in, and such an ambitious itinerary, but she made it easy.
Ah wow that's great to read 🙏🍀 It was an amazing day getting to know the World Heritage Sites of Central Portugal. You are welcome back anytime & come discover more!
My family and I recently went on two tours with Sara and her team, to the Conimbriga Roman ruins, and for a full day to three stunning UNESCO heritage sites. Both were excellent - well-organised, very informative and excellent value - highly recommended.
Thank you very much for your feedback about our services and your time traveling alongside us :) all the best!
Bruno was an excellent driver and an extremely knowledgeable guide! Tomar was the highlight of the day since it was not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also interesting. We especially enjoyed the behind the scenes tour at Batalha and the restaurant that Bruno recommended was exceptionally delicious! The entire day from beginning to end flew by because Bruno added wonderful details and a very pleasant personality. We highly recommend this tour to anyone!
These are three must see World Heritage sites and what a pleasure to have Sara for a guide and companion! Not only did she make the sites come alive with her knowledge and stories and sense of humor, but she was most a most helpful and compassionate helpmate (We are all on the + side of 65 and need a helping hand with stairs, etc sometimes) Her love for Portugal is contagious and a joy to be part of!
Hello Richard! Oh thanks :) It was great guiding you, and you're welcome back anytime. All the best!!
Sara was an exceptional guide. She is extremely knowledgeable, and a very pleasant companion to spend the day with. Her English is excellent, and her expertise and pride in her culture really adds a good context to the experience. This trio of sites made for a well-paced day that was not too difficult for a pair of 60-year-olds. We are glad we spent our day with Sara, and would do it again in a heartbeat. It is a little difficult to find day tours from Coimbra to fit specific agendas, and this was a very good product at a fair price for a private/one car tour.
