We had a wonderful stay in Chongqing, thanks to our fantastic guide, Tony. Tony has vast knowledge about the city's history, local life, and traditions. He showed us both the new and old parts of Chongqing, which gave us a complete picture of this fascinating city. He was also flexible and accommodating, always adjusting to our needs and interests. We also enjoyed riding with our driver, Mr. Lee, who was always ready to help and made us feel completely at ease, welcomed and valued. If you are planning a trip to Chongqing, we highly recommend Tony as your guide. Thank you Tony and Mr. Lee for an unforgettable experience!
Thank you and we are happy to have you!
This is now my favourite city. Having travelled extensively and now in my 70's, I didn't have high expectations of a city that is described as the world's most populated city that most people have not heard of. We originally planned to spend a few days there en-route to chengdu but decided to extend our stay in Chongqing and cancel Chengdu. Top tip, find a hotel close to a subway station and ideally close to the centre. We stayed at the Moxy which turned out to be the perfect location. The subway is fast modern and cheap. Most trips 20 to 30 pence (UK sterling). Easy to use with the Alipay app which is linked to your bank card. (Tap-in, tap-out). Be prepared to walk many stairs and escalators. The whole city is super safe, clean, friendly full of surprises and a great vib. All the popular sites are well covered online but a couple of must see is the 1949 show performed in a huge high tech custom built theatre and the drone show (Saturday nights only). So much more to do and see.
Welcome to CQ :)
