Description

The trolley ride takes about 35-40 minutes and you'll get to see our many acres and acres of tea bushes. You'll learn more about tea both from our trolley guide as well as our founder, Bill Hall, who narrates a portion of the tour over the bus sound system. The trolley also makes a stop at the greenhouse where everyone departs the trolley and gets to see up close and personal just what it takes to bring new tea bushes into the world. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience

Fun and relaxing tour about the history and tea production

This was an informative and fun tour. John is an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. I leaned a lot about tea. The gift shop has samples and a variety of items available. The key lime cookies are delicious

A Great Visit to Understand the Making of Tea.

The trolley tour was very interesting and complimented the movie documentary shown in the tea processing center. The guide was very entertaining.

Great time!!

It was beautiful and Ellen was so knowledgeable. We had a great time I learned so much. Never realized how much actually goes into tea crops. The history of the farm was interesting and meeting the 4-legged grounds keepers was fun. We will do this tour again with our grandchildren.

Visit to the Charleston Tea Garden.

We visited the Charleston Tea Garden and learned about Tea Production and cultivation here in the U.S. This is a great place to visit, especially if you are a tea drinker. The trolley tour through the tea fields and the factory tour are very informative. The staff were very nice.

Very informative and free tea tastings

This is the only tea plantation in the USA. There were 4 of us and all enjoyed the tour and were surprised at some of the information. So, a learning experience and all the tea you can drink! The trolley tour is very informative, but there is a free "factory tour" that is also informative and definitely worth your time. Highly recommend this activity.

Experience you don't want to miss.

This is a must see when in Charleston or the surrounding areas. Every employee was pleasant and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. As a big tea fan this was such an educational and a pleasant experience. From the store employees to the Trolley Driver, we were greeted with a neighborly attitude. The gift shop was a wonderful shopping experience with reasonable prices and a wide selection. Sip all the hot or cold tea you want. The factory tour is an automated show where you just move from screen to screen. The factory does not function on the weekend, so we didn't see any operations. The Trolley driver gave us all the information we needed on the trolley ride and she was quite funny!!

Interest & enlightening

Four seniors stopped to see the only tea gardens in the USA. Took the factory tour first and that explained the process of what happens after the tea leaves are picked. Then we took the 45 minute tour through the fields. The tickets are discounted $2 for veterans an AAA members.
