Tour guide was excellent! Right pace and very informative timely. Informative and very knowledgeable of the area.
Tour operator was lovely and professional. I loved all the facts and details she offered while driving to and from the memorial.
Great experience! Staff responds promptly to messages. Roland was very friendly and shared lots of info on the way to and from the memorial. The complimentary drinks and snack were a nice touch.
Pearl Harbor was very interesting! There’s was a lot of information. USS Arizona was beautiful. The tour guide was alright.
Our driver Roland was very helpful, informative and gracious. The time allowed at Pearl Harbor was perfect with time to spare.
BE ON TIME!! The driver is on a schedule. Make sure you are where you are supposed to be at all times. Roland was the best! He was very informative and funny at the same time.
Tour guide was good. But it wasn’t clear when making the reservation that the guide was only for the transportation over to Pear Harbor.
The trip operator never picked us up. Our family was with another operator and we missed this adventure with our family. Viator needs to fire the tour operator for dropping the ball.
Dear Terry, Aloha Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. We need to point out that at no point prior to the tour were we informed that you were traveling with family members booked under a separate reservation. Because the reservations were separate, your booking was assigned to a different vehicle and operating schedule. We had offered an alternative departure time due to ticketing issues, so that you could still participate in the tour. That option was declined. We encourage guests traveling with family or friends on separate reservations to notify all operators in advance so arrangements can be coordinated whenever possible. Without that information, each reservation is operated according to the details provided at the time of booking.
You will want the max time to see and read everything! Great for kids too! My daighter who is 9 had lots of questions.
Driver showed up at 10 for a 9:30 pickup. When we called we were told they had till 10 to pick us up. Driver was not the friendliest and told us that normally there are 15 car accidents per day. We were lucky he had already seen 7 or 8 already. Really, weird thing to tell people on a tour. Driver told us we should be back to hotel hopefully by 3:00 PM. Driver gave us a bottle of Costco water and a tiny granola bar walked us in and told us to meet him at 1:30, then he left. We called your at 12:30 and asked if we could get a ride back sooner and were told no. We called an uber at 1 pm and got back to our hotel in 20 minutes. Texted driver directly at 1:27 and let him know we would not be driving back with him. At 1:34 tour group called and left a message that driver was looking for us and we were delaying everyone else where were we. Called tour back and they were very nasty in the phone. Hawaii Legend Travel was there name. I would never use them ever. Will be contacting Viator directly when I get back from vacation.
Dear Christina, Aloha Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. Our pickup window for your tour was clearly stated as between 9:20 AM and 10:00 AM, and this information was sent to you by text message the evening before the tour. You acknowledged receipt of that message, so the pickup occurred within the confirmed time frame provided to you in advance. This is also a scheduled shared tour with a fixed itinerary and duration. Guests cannot simply request an earlier return time and expect the vehicle to leave the rest of the group behind. The return timing is set for the entire tour and applies to all passengers equally. As for your departure from Pearl Harbor, we had not received any notice that you had decided to leave on your own by Uber. Because of that, the driver did exactly what he was supposed to do and searched for you at the designated pickup location at the scheduled meeting time. Our office then contacted you because from our perspective you were missing and delaying the group departure. We also find it unfair to portray standard operational comments about Honolulu traffic and accidents as somehow inappropriate. Traffic conditions on Oahu are very real and frequently affect tour schedules, which is why pickup windows and timing ranges are provided in advance rather than exact minute-by-minute guarantees. We wish you had communicated your independent departure earlier so unnecessary confusion for both the driver and the rest of the group could have been avoided.
