Fabulous morning street food tour

This tour was just great! It was just Alessandro, my wife & I on the tour and over 2 hours we visited loads of mouthwatering spots. All the food was included in the price and everything was delicious: Coffee / Pizza / Aperitivo and Gelato - we were truly spoilt. We were really looking forward to learning more about the neighborhood (Trastavere can get quite touristy quite quickly) but after this tour & armed with a pdf Alessandro sent afterwards we didn’t put a foot wrong. Excellent value & a lot of fun.

The real way to find where the locals go!

We had Alessandro and would highly recommend this tour! We had really struggled to find genuinely local places in room despite a lot of online searches, and Alessandro took us to some great spots that we absolutely wouldn't have found ourselves. He was very knowledgeable and the whole experience was a highlight of our time in Rome and reasonably priced

A fun and yummy...

A fun and yummy experience led by a highly knowledgeable and friendly guide. Despite our group being small, Alessandro gave of his best. He told us much about the history of Trastevere and its current status as a trendy area with lots of food to be had. Alessandro’s love for the area was evident. The food was pretty good and included meats, cheeses, cookies, pizza, pasta and Aperol spritz. We stopped at a deli/grocery, pizza parlor, bakery. And restaurant. I recommend this tour to all who want to eat, walk around and learn a lot about the area and its food.

1 on 1 food tour of Trastevere

Marco is a young and enthusiastic food guide. Solid food tour of Trastevere. As a local, born and bred in Rome, his insights and recommendations for after the tour were spot on.

Operator response

Thanks, hope to see you again soon in Rome

“An Absolute MUST-DO in Rome — Amazing Food, Hidden Gems & an Incredible Guide!”

We were originally supposed to do this food tour yesterday, but after experiencing a couple of airport and luggage issues, we reached out to see if we could switch to tonight instead — and they were incredibly accommodating and made it happen for us. That alone started the experience off on such a positive note! Our guide, Alessandro, was absolutely amazing. He took us to authentic bakeries, cafés, and restaurants that we never would have found on our own. Every stop felt genuine and full of local charm, not touristy at all. The food was incredible, but what really made the tour special was the history and stories Alessandro shared along the way. You could truly feel his passion for Rome, the culture, and the food. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip so far. I 1000% recommend this tour — you will NOT be disappointed!

Yum!

Wonderful insight into the Neighbourhood, but don’t eat before you go! The bakery alone was spectacular. Our young guide was a local university student and was the perfect person to show us around. Very knowledgeable.
