The Walls of Ston are a series of defensive stone walls, originally more than 7 kilometers long, that surrounded and protected the city of Ston. Their construction was begun in 1358. Today, it is one of the longest-preserved fortification systems in the world.

Easy to schedule with owner (Hrvoje) and our driver (and new friend!) PAVE was the best! We customized the whole day as a “chauffeur service” experience for oysters, wine tasting, hiking in Ston, and more. PAVE added so much value in going above and beyond — offering little local places along our route and contextual history (as requested). Pave is very hospitable, warm and friendly, speaks fluent English, and is there to make your trip whatever it is you want it to be. He often does multi-day private tours too. We had a fantastic private transfer from Dubrovnik to Split Airport with Ivan, stopping in the beautiful town of Ston. Ivan was incredibly kind to our three sore heads, friendly, played great music, and was very informative when we had questions. Ston, with its charming cafes and impressive historic wall (the second longest after the Great Wall of China!), was a perfect break. We arrived at the airport relaxed and with plenty of time — a far better experience than a crowded bus. Highly recommend!

My husband and I did the split to Dubrovnik private transfer with a stop to Mostar, Ston, and the oyster farm!!! The company was easy to reach and answered all questions during the booking process. We decided after booking we wanted to add Mostar and it was no problem to add! They even sent me an updated itinerary! Mario was our guide and he picked us up from our airbnb in split with no issues. He contacted me the night before with his personal number and details on pick up. He picked us up in a clean and air-conditioned Audi. He was more than a private transfer due to his knowledge about Croatia. He was able to point out landmarks on the way and made a point to make an extra stop at a gorgeous viewpoint! He even opened and closed our door every time we got in and out of the car!! We were very pleased with how professional and easy he made the transfer. We also enjoyed all the stops we made. Mostar was a perfect place for lunch and was gorgeous! We really enjoyed watching the divers jump off the bridge. The oyster farm was even better than Mostar! We were greeted by our guide and his wife and went on a private boat where we learned about oyster farming and enjoyed a meal cooked by his wife on the boat. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
