Excellent evening. Guide was knowledgeable and made the experience a fun learning environment. Lucky with some great flipper and tail action.
The tour was amazing!!. the Guide, Matteo, was really passionate about his job, directly sharing this passion to us and creating a much better climate. He loved his job and made us love the experience. there was a huge respect for marine life, which lead us to spotting countless dolphins, a few minke whales and also a bunch of Humpback whales. the tour was so successful that they also increased the duration of 2h to visit puffin island. We were few on the boat and there was no crowding at all. the entry price is correct for the breathtaking experience we had, along with the overall and jacket we were given. the atmosphere is friendly, nice and full of curiosity for the little ones and the marine animals. The best part of the experience was definitely interacting with the guide, Matteo!! Thank you
Very professional, with a good guide, we saw three types of whales in the bay. Special mention for the very playful dolphins.
We saw many minke whales, followed a humpback and puffins. It was a lovely day watching the mountains while the whales dove. Warm suits provided and calm seas.
Lots of information about whales and other sea creatures as we left the harbour. Saw a humpback whale and her calf many times during the trip, as well as a minke whale and dolphins. A great experience
Gentle Giants really looked after us, we felt safe, warm and dry. Saw humpback, minke whales dolphins and puffins and lots of birds. And it stopped raining! A great trip.
An unforgettable experience! We were lucky enough to observe several whales in a magnificent setting. The crew was passionate, welcoming, and very professional. An outing that I recommend 100% when visiting Húsavík!
We are so pleased your whale watching tour became such an unforgettable experience. Seeing several whales in the beautiful surroundings of Skjálfandi Bay is always something special, and your kind words about our crew are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your recommendation! Kind regards, Beatriz
Very special experience. We got to see a humpback and a minke whale. There were also masses of puffins, arctic terns and other birds near the whales.
The boat that took us held 43 people, certainly too many to allow for changing observation points.
We are glad you enjoyed the experience of exploring the waters of Skjálfandi Bay! We are sorry to hear that the number of passengers affected your ability to change your viewing point, our crew and captains always do their best to provide great whale watching opportunities from all sides of the vessel. Thank you for sharing your perspective, as it helps us continue working towards the best possible experience for our guests. All the best, Beatriz
What they don't tell you is that from far away, very, very far away, you see something and you have to believe it's a whale. People running from one side of the boat to the other to see a fin super far away, and that counts as seeing whales. On top of that, before you arrive, they show you a book and tell you that you have seen 3 different types of whales, which almost nobody achieves. As an experience, it was very good, but come on, just a bit of seasickness and fins from afar. Great
Dear Ismael, Thank you for your feedback! We are sorry to hear the sightings did not meet your expectations. Whale watching in Skjalfandi Bay takes place in the wild, and every tour is different depending on the whales behaviour. Our captains always follow the IceWhale code of conduct, balancing respectful distances with the best possible viewing opportunities. We appreciate your comments and will use them to keep improving our service. Best regards, Fabio.
