Issac was friendly and knowledgeable, and forgave us for not allowing for travel time in busy Seoul and arriving 15 mins late. We tasted over 15 ( I lost count) soju and makegolis, learning about their variability, craft vs commercial products, and how they are made. A lovely quiet hour and a half out on our first night in Seoul.
Just a really nice way to one learn a little bit about the history and the process for making both Makgeolli and Soju. You also get to try a wide range from mass produced to local varieties. If your looking for a good starter for Korean alcohol this is an easy recommendation.
Super recommended. We tried countless artisan makolis and various sobus. All delicious and with very interesting implications.
I left the class with an abundance of knowledge and a deeper respect for Korean alcohol. Joe is a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about what he does. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Seoul, especially if you're a drinker.

We got to learn about and taste many different Makgeolis and sojus! I had never heard of Makgeoli and had never tried soju and this was a fabulous introduction! Really informative and very fun!
My husband and I had a great time learning about and tasting the different Korean alcohols. We love craft beer in the US and this tasting really fit with our interests. It was fun to learn about the dedication and pride that goes into making traditional Makgeoli. We also got to learn what goes into all the different sojus. Great experience all around!
