Immerse yourself in the mud volcano surrounded by nature and enjoy the properties for your skin and your health (The volcano contains water, silicon, aluminum, magnesium, calcium, iron among others. We have bilingual guides who will make you live a wonderful experience on the volcano and then we will go to a beach club facing the sea so you can relax and enjoy the pool and the beautiful views.

Itinerary
The Mud Volcano is 45 minutes from Cartagena, so we will be arriving between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. There we will enjoy the wonderful experience of feeling the mud on our skin, swimming in the mud, taking photos and removing the mud, all with the help of the natives in exchange for a voluntary tip.
In this wonderful place begins the second part of the tour. We will reach the beaches of the mouthpiece to relax, enjoy the facilities, you can use the pool, the beach, sun chairs, hammocks, go to the beach, etc. After lunch (fish, chicken, pork and vegetarian options) we will be at this place until 2 pm, at which point we will return to Cartagena.

When booking, please provide a phone number or email so the provider and guide can contact you before and during the activity. The collection times in the different neighborhoods will be as follows:: Historic Center: 8 am (Camellón de los Mártires) Bocagrande, Laguito and Castillo Grande: 8:30 pm North Zone; Cabrero, Marbella, Crespo, Boquilla and Manzanillo: 9:00 am - 9:15 am Meeting place in La Boquilla: Pedestrian Bridge. Meeting place in Manzanillo: Pedestrian Bridge of the Ramblas shopping center.

- Do not wear new clothes, jewelry or wallet inside the volcano. Your belongings will remain inside the bus. Once customers get off the bus, we close the bus until all customers have left the volcano and removed the mud for the safety of their belongings. This place is not supported by the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism or the Colombian Government. Spontaneously it is the Totumo Volcano Workers Association and their families who manage this site, that is, they are local and native people who work there, there are 3 people on the tour who will help you by taking photos, giving you massages and helping you remove the mud in exchange for an additional tip. It carries low denomination tickets to tip if you want to use its services ($10,000 COP each service). These services are optional, not mandatory.

Our tour guide Samuel was exceptional. The experience was great! Greatful for the ladies in the river. Tips would be let your guide take care of the payments because it can be confusing and the people can be pushy. Overall i would recommend.

To start, tour guide expected us to know exactly where the meet up point is without taking a vehicle to get there. She was telling us it wasn’t a far walk but when we called an uber it was a 12 minute drive. We are not from Colombia and didn’t feel safe walking and felt bad because we were told we could’ve walked. Once we got there the tour guide didn’t speak English to us at all. We understand that this is a Spanish speaking country and we respect the language however it said she was bilingual and spoke English. She spoke like 3 things to us in English the entire day and only had conversations with the Spanish speaking individuals. We felt very excluded. Also when we were at the volcano she approached us and said “I need a picture because the company is asking for it” she came off very rude. I would not recommend this particular company to any black Americans visiting Colombia or any black English speaking person.
I would highly recommend this tour! My fiancée and I loved it. The tour guide, Nevis was very punctual and dialled in. It’s a very chill, relaxed atmosphere and Nevis was great about explaining the itinerary for the day. After the mud volcano, we were brought to the hotel with a pool and the vibes were fantastic. The lunch is phenomenal as is the service. This tour exceeded all our expectations.

The experience was good. The food was delicious. The mud volcano staff needs to be more organized with timing. The staff didn’t time the people in the mud. Long wait times.
