Total waste of money n time. The Guide named Anuj was clueless and unprofessional. Tour was totally disorganised. Yo Tours is one of the worst tour companies. Think thrice before taking any of their tours. The tour started at 10 am due to delay by the equally clueless driver which was supposed to start at 8 am. Nothing was shown as described in the itenary. Food was not arranged in a local village home as mentioned. It was provided in a random restaurant on the way. The saray mohana which is the hub for weaving was not shown n some local weaving was shown in a short span. One of the worst tour experiences of my life. Stay away from YO TOURS company.
The tour did not fit the description. We went to one village instead of four. It was only five hours long. The guide was engaged for an hour or two then spent the rest of the time on his phone so we didn’t get much information. Maybe it was just our guide and we got unlucky but when we brought the issue up with the tour operator , he denied it.
Manish was a great guide for this Village tour. We really enjoyed our time spent with him and the village experience was amazing. Starting at 8am and finishing at 4pm, it was a great day. We highly recommend Manish if your interested in this village tour.
This was a great day led by my guide Manish. We visited three different villages and lots of roadside places in between. It was a seamless day with great conversation. The villages were great.. welcoming people and only to happy to talk and show you things. Never was there any pressure to buy or give. Best memory..being invited into a very old home by a villager. I feel I gained a better understanding of people through this day. I would thoroughly recommend it.
This was a great excursion out of Varanasi. From the morning hotel pickup to the late afternoon return, it was fascinating. Three very different villages were visited and included watching people at work, talking with local farmers and their families. People were pleased to see us and my guide made me feel relaxed with the communities. It was great stopping at roadsides for a chai and a brief wander around town activities. Everywhere there was so much going on that could be looked at and talked about. A great thali for lunch complimented all this. I can really recommend this day out of Varanasi as it adds several more dimensions to understanding this amazing part of India.
