We stopped in Genoa on a cruise & decided to try a food & wine tour. Alessandro met us at the Aquarium & we started with the history of the Old Port town. He took us through the city & we stopped at the most amazing tiny, family owned places. They were in tiny "alley" ways and places we would have NEVER tried on our own. The food was AMAZING, authentic, and truly made with passion as each stop. We expected super tiny tastings, but we were full after the first 3 stops!!! We had a great history lesson, fantastic food, great wine, and just a great experience!!! We would highly recommend Alessandro & Soul of Genoa!!!
We were skeptical about the tour but we largely changed our minds in positivi.Con Alessandro's guide the hours passed pleasant and we could admire the beauties even hidden in the city. Obviously we ate well and all washed down with really good wines.
Our recent tour was fantastic, a perfect blend of cultural immersion, culinary delight, and historical exploration. From start to finish, the experience was both enriching and enjoyable. What made the tour truly special, though, was Alessandro, our guide. His ability to weave history into the experience made learning not just enjoyable, but deeply meaningful.
We enjoyed this tour very much. We saw parts of Genoa that we weren't expecting and were excited to see what was coming next. We had stops for food, wine, gelato, it was divine! The perfect way to start our vacation.
We had a great evening of walking round Genoa and trying the food and wine. Our guide was terrific, taking us for freshly baked focaccia, wine tastings, traditional local pasta and ice cream. Would highly recommend this tour.
Alessandro did a great job pointing out a lot of the history in the old town that is not evident to your average traveler! He was very knowledgeable and flexible. He was also great with our infant son and the food was delicious!
Amazing guided tour from piazza Ferrari, via Christopher Colombus home, Heart of the old town leading to a winetasting in a cozy cellar 🤩 Entertaining, charming guide with excellent knowlegde of both the city and the wines (that were amazing as well👌🤩) ended in a tiny chocolatefactory for wonderful gelato😍
Alessandro was amazing!!! He open our eyes to the his city of Genoa. We will definitely recommend his tour and areas to anyome that visit this city. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. Alessandro always explained in detail every part of the city to understand the history behind certain areas we never knew existed. He set the bar for future tours in other cities we will visit.
Genova has so many wonderful hidden foodie spots which we certainly would not have found without Alessandro! We had a fabulous evening of eating local specialities and also learning some of the city's history. And of course there was lots of wine! Alessandro is very engaging and easy to talk to - it felt like we were on an evening out with an old friend showing us round their favourite spots! We left with full bellies and happy hearts and would recommend this experience as a 'must do' for any visitors to Genova.
Alessandro was very friendly and knowledgeable about his city. We learned a lot, ate a lot, and thoroughly enjoyed the wine cellar he brought us to!
