Description
Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests. Our pickup time is 9:30 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

At this 125-foot Column, you will see the fantastic views, listen to the history, smell the coastal air, and take in the challenge of climbing the stairs. People leave this place feeling light, breathing in the accomplishments of yesterday's and today's challenges.
Walk the grounds, see the carriage house and maybe visit the inside of the home.
Get your photo taken with the Goonies jeep, visit the guest store for your favorite Goonie collection
see the Fort read the history, see a Rhododendron tree over 100 years old
Walk up the street to Mikey's house, take a photo

Pickup Locations & Times
Cruise Guest Booking Reminder If you are arriving by cruise ship, please select the Tour of Astoria option that includes your cruise line name and date on TripAdvisor rather than the general Tour of Astoria listing. This option is designed specifically for cruise guests so we can keep the tour running smoothly and on schedule. Questions? Just ask — we're happy to help. Meeting Locations If you are arriving by cruise ship, please make your way to our designated pickup location just outside the port property. Detailed directions will be provided with your booking confirmation, and you will see the Onward Adventures bus waiting for you. When you leave your ship, you will walk under a gazebo with a sign that reads Welcome to Astoria. Stay on that sidewalk. You will pass local vendors selling things on the left. You will also pass a bike tour on your left.. On your right, you will see the port Cruise buses. Just keep walking on the sidewalk. At the end, there is a gate that will be opened. Walk through it. On the left is an old hotel, and on the right is Bornstein Fish Packing Company. Keep walking the sidewalk. When you reach the 4-way stop, you will see my Onward Adventures bus on the other side of the road. This is the closest I can get to the port property.

Katie is fabulous! She took our family on a wonderful tour of Astoria including many special moments. We went to a shipwreck on the beach, saw elk, learned so much history, went to Goonies sights and just had a great few hours. She made the tour amazing for us and was so sweet to our seven year old. Everyone who visits Astoria should absolutely book a tour with Onward!
Incredible experience! highly recommend, our guide was very knowledgeable of the town. She knew her stuff and it was impressive. I would book at the start of your stay, because once you learn all the best kept gems of the this beautiful place you're going to want to stay a lot longer and explore! Especially if you are a big movie fan.

I went on this excursion with my husband and brother and his wife. Katie was an excellent tour guide with her cute little bus. She showed us all of Astoria. She offered to drop off anyone to the cruise ship, then she would take the rest of us to the shipwreck. 2 people got off and rest of us went to the Fishmongers Restaurant to get Tuna fish and Chips. While waiting for our order, my husband won $310.80 on the slots. What great memories
That was such a fun day! It's fun going off the agenda and doing what feels right for that time! Fishmongers at the South Jetty Bar was a big hit! Let's do it again! What a bonus $$$
This is the one tour you can’t miss, ours was a private tour with Katie, lots of energy and knowledge , my wife’s bucket list was to see the Goonie’s and Kate did not disappoint, she went above and beyond with locations, stories and things we did not anticipate, she was phenomenal

What an outstanding time we had with Katie and Onward Adventures today on their Tour of Astoria excursion!!! We visited, and climbed up, the Astoria Column...even got to fly small gliders from the top! The highlight for me was the several filming locations, like for The Goonies, Short Circuit, and Free Willy movies. They are very flexible and gave our small group various choices of things to see that interested us most. I definitely recommend touring with them when you're in Astoria!

Wonderful tour of Astoria with Katie. She is very knowledgeable and has fun commentary. We especially enjoyed the tower experience and the street shopping. Her bus reflects the eclectic, quirky style of Astoria!

Brilliant tour of Astoria with our guide Meredith. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with Off a cruise ship and knew nothing about the town so was a real treat (and yes we were given planes to fly and salmon dip!!) to learn so much Many thanks from the 3 of us

Hosted by Bill and Kate we enjoyed a fun and informative 3 hour tour of sleepy Astoria which was well worth doing. Highlights included the climbing to the top of the column and the views up there, visit to the Goonies house and Bill’s salmon dip. Pick up was at the port to meet us off our cruise ship but they also seem to do hotel pick ups.
I loved climbing the column with you! Bill is smiling over his salmon dip; he is going to try to do that whenever he gets a chance to come along. Did you know that over 300 people a day walk up to the Goonies house. Incredible. We are glad to be able to show you this! Thanks for the great review!
