This tour to Luxor was simply breathtaking! The Karnak Temple with its huge columned halls, the imposing Colossi of Memnon and the magnificent mortuary temple of Hatshepsut leave you in awe. The absolute highlight was the mysterious Valley of the Kings, where you can experience the final resting place of the pharaohs up close. Our tour guide was excellent - competent, exciting and captivating. This trip is a unique experience and absolutely worth seeing. Highly recommended! Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

hanks for the review it was a pleasure meeting you you are welcome anytime
Thoroughly enjoyed this day out to Luxor. Our tour guide's name was Mimo, a knowledgable egyptilogist and told us so many interesting bits of information. We were picked up from our hotel in Hurghada at 5:30am and arrived into Luxor 4 hours later. We travelled on a bug comfy couch with a toilet but we also stopped after about 2 hours so that everyone could stretch their legs. We visited Karnak temple first. How impressive! Before booking this trip, I'd never heard of Karnak temple so hadn't seen any of the pictures online either. Wow! Hatshepsut temple was next, a huge almost modern looking structure built into the side of a mountain. We didn't spend a huge amount of time here but it was great to see. A lot of it was barricaded off with the locals stood behind offering to take photos for you, around the corners where you couldn't see, in exchange for money. This was a little off-putting but manageable. After a short trip across the Nile by boat was the amazing Valley of the Kings. Honestly, it would take weeks to see everything there is to see in Valley of the Kings, let alone Luxor. So we had 3 Temples included with our admission. Ramesses I, IV, IX Tutankhamun's tomb is here too, currently with his mummy encased in a glass box. Entrance to his tomb was an extra cost we chose against. We stopped by the colossal Memnon structures which were absolutely huge before a tea/coffee stop at a local Luxor store before our final trip (extra cost) to Banana island. To be honest, Banana Island wasn't worth it for me but the choice was to either pay the extra for a Nile trip to Banana island and a view of the sunset. Or spend an extra 1.5 hours on the coach as it travelled back around the Nile to meet us at the other side. We paid for the Nile sunset and to not have the 1.5 hour on the coach. Banana island just felt like another stop to ask for money. There were some poor animals kept on cages, monkeys and small crocs on chains, there to have a photo and pay money and that was it. I felt like I'd paid money to keep the animals chained up :-( Lastly, the 4 hour trip back to Hurghada. Pleasant enough, although the driver turned all the lights off at 6pm including the lights above your seat and in the toilet so everyone had to use torches to get around. Overall, an amazing trip seeing the tombs in Luxor and I would recommend trying to fit in this trip if you haven't seen the Temples before at an excellent price through Exclusive Trips of Egypt. (Mo has lots of tours at much more reasonable prices than the hotels) but I'd probably not pay the extra trip for the Nile sunset/Banana island again out of principle for the animals really. Thanks Mo, will definitely book with you again!
