We are extremely disappointed with this excursion, mainly due to the behavior of the guide, Julia, who clearly ruined our experience from start to finish. To begin with, the meeting point communicated via SMS was not the correct one. We had been at the indicated location for about ten minutes when Julia called us. Instead of trying to understand the situation, she immediately spoke to us in an aggressive tone, blaming us for being "very late." In reality, it was the bus that was not at the location that had been communicated to us. A minimum of courtesy, listening, and professionalism would have been appreciated. A few minutes later, we inadvertently swapped our seats on the bus. A mistake without any consequences, which could have been resolved in a few seconds with a simple smile. Instead, we were reprimanded in a harsh and unkind manner. The most regrettable part is that Julia remained cold, unpleasant, and clearly annoyed with us for the rest of the excursion. Her attitude made us very uncomfortable and completely ruined the enjoyment of this outing. When working in tourism, hospitality and kindness should be a priority. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. Regarding the tour, it is very disappointing. The excursion is advertised for a duration of 5 hours, but only about 1 hour is actually spent at the Timanfaya site. The rest of the time is dedicated to transportation. The automated comments broadcasted on the bus are uninteresting and do not provide any real added value. In the end, this excursion essentially amounts to paying for a skip-the-line ticket. Given the price, the value for money is very poor. We leave with the feeling of having paid a lot for a rushed visit, and especially with the memory of a guide whose behavior was inappropriate, unpleasant, and completely out of sync with what one should expect from a tourist service. It is all the more unfortunate that this completely tarnished a visit we were looking forward to. We absolutely do not recommend this excursion.
We took this trip today and loved it! The park itself is protected so you cannot walk around freely but that doesn't matter as you get amazing views from the coach! The geothermal experience was great to watch, it would have been nice to spend a little more time at this part however. The camel ride was great, it is €11 each and you must go in a pair, so for a family of three, one of you will be sharing with a stranger. Again, more time in this part would have been great as there is a museum but we didn't get a chance to go in because we went on the camels. We only had a 40 minute stop and the camels took 30 of that. All in all though it was a fantastic morning out and our daughter loved it!
The tour of Timanfaya National Park, Camel Ride and stop at a Winery was booked as one excursion, there was no extra cost for the camel ride. The volcanic park was incredible, similar to The Big Island National Park in Hawaii. The camel ride was an unique experience and lasted 30-45 minutes along a trail. The stop at a winery in volcanic soil was interesting. The guide was quite good as well. The cost was higher through the ship (more than private operators) but I think we got good value anyways. Lanzerote in the Canary Islands is beautiful to see.
Excellent guide and experienced driver. The Timanfaya site is unique and unforgettable. We recommend without hesitation. Thank you.
Really interesting to see and hear about the volcanoes in Lanzarote. Fun having a ride on a camel. Interesting to see how hot it was in such a small way down in the ground
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we were able to beat the queues to the Natiobal park by leaving early. Really enjoyed the experience
Nice and short, no hanging around. Guide was very good. Would recommend. Didn’t do the optional camel ride but the stop was only 30mins. Had a drink and walk around instead. 2 toilet opportunities
Excellent, informative tour, incredible landscape, amazing seeing the burning core of magma and steam spout, great to see and ride the camels.
Booking the trip "Short South Tour Timanfaya Park" in Lanzarote via the website was unproblematic. The bus picked us up on time at the predetermined meeting point. In total, about 1.5 hours of meeting points were reached before the destination Timanfaya was headed. Due to heavy fog, Timanfaya Park was closed all day. A replacement program did not exist. Camel riding (for an 11 euro fee) and a visit to the Timanfaya Visitor Centre took place. The tour guide Erich of LCT was listless and explained little, and if so, they were disjointed sentences. The bus driver was driving high-risk and making phone calls while driving. We wouldn't book here anymore.
It is very good in general but it should be specified that the trip by camel goes apart, it also makes quite cool for being at height
Gracias David por tu feedback. Tal y como se indica en el itinerario del producto en webs y folletos, el paseo en camello es opcional de coste extra. SAludos
