The Most Entertaining Tour of Cambridge by An Ex-Student

Description
I want you to enjoy this tour, so we'll see the most stunning landmarks, and you'll hear some of the darkest, most romantic and wonderful historical stories, for an experience of Cambridge and its world-famous university that you won't forget! We'll walk through the historic City Centre and the Backs, as close as possible to the action. YOU'LL HEAR - how Cambridge University began as a bunch of religious schools more than 800 years ago, because of a bloody riot in Oxford - how it has taught and hosted countless famous people who changed the world - how a religious scholar scribbling at the top of a tiny tower shook the whole of Europe - The despicable reason why our two greatest colleges are bitter rivals YOU'LL SEE: - the FRONT QUAD of a historic college (if open that day) - the RAF bar and the most famous bridge in China (really!) - a small 19th century lab that was once the world's greatest science centre - stunning LANDMARKS - the river Cam and its charming BRIDGES

Don't mess about with other tours, this is the one you need to be on. David is absolutely brilliant. He paints a vivid picture of Cambridge through his stories. They're informative and engaging, with just the right touch of cheeky humour. If I could give 10 out of 10, then I'd give him 11.
David was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Unfortunately as many graduations were taking place we couldn’t look inside any of the college gates. The small group setting meant it was easy to hear and keep up during the walk.
Mesmerising architecture, pleasant warm sunshine and after an unforgettable 45 minute punt it is a hard act to follow for our Walking Tour guide David. He is knowledgable, friendly and knows hows how to tell a good story. A brilliant two hours as he answers our questions with a smile
Had a great afternoon walking tour with David. He was fun, engaging, and full of interesting local stories and references that brought Cambridge to life. His knowledge of the city and its history was impressive, and he kept the tour enjoyable throughout. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cambridge!
David was very knowledgable and kind. One of the best tours in Cambridge. Highly recommend and great value for money.
Very informative and nice tour!! Definitely recommend if you want to learn more about the history of the different colleges. David is an amazing tour guide
We had such a fantastic time on our Cambridge tour! Our guide was funny, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does — which made such a difference. He brought the history and stories of Cambridge to life in a really entertaining way, and kept all of us interested throughout. We ended up having an extended tour, which was absolutely worth it. It felt like a great way to properly experience and learn about such a beautiful city without it ever feeling rushed. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cambridge — especially if you want something informative but also genuinely enjoyable.
Very fun and love the history regarding the buildings
