Itinerary
The Latin Quarter is one of Paris' most quirky and interesting neighbourhoods located on the left bank of the Seine River, around the Sorbonne. It is an ambient juxtaposition of medieval backstreets, churches and grand Haussmman-style boulevards, which were built in the 19th century as part of Paris’ modernisation, the area takes its name from medieval times when the majority of local residents were clergy or students who spoke Latin.

Our walking tour of the Latin Wuarter was fantastic! Jo was tremendously informative, entertaining and took the time to listen to us as well. It was a great experience
Joanne is the world’s most wonderful guide! Knowledgeable, funny, flexible to your interests, and all around nice person. All of Paris is amazing but this area has an interesting history

Paris is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! Joanne will be over the moon to hear this. We hope to welcome you back on another Travel Curious adventure. Happy exploring!
Our family, made up of parents, a college philosophy major, and 2 children (age 11 and 12), all thoroughly enjoyed Pierre Eve's thoughtful insight on one of the most interesting parts of Paris! We saw beautiful ancient cathedrals and a Roman arena as well as numerous sites where famous artists and authors lived and spent time in Paris in the 1920's. Pierre Eve also introduced us to the best cup of coffee any of us had ever had. We went back to our apartment and watched Midnight in Paris together and relived it all. Highly recommend!
