Our drivers can enter in sites where other can't. They will always be available if you want to stop for a break or extend the duration of the tour or customize the itinerary (within certain km). The highlights are the same for everyone in cities like these but we always know the best route with the right compromise between landscape and speed. Itinerary
starting from Livorno we will reach Pisa in about 30 minutes. and the first stop of about 10 minutes will be here. Knights' Square is the old political center where the knights and templars of Santo Stefano resided. It is home to the current Pisa Normal School
Piazza dei Miracoli is the spiritual center of the city of Pisa. Inside it is possible to visit the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto and the famous LEANING TOWER.
starting from Pisa we will reach Florence in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. the stop in this stage will be approximately 20 minutes. Piazzale Michelangelo Is the most beautiful panoramic point in Florence.
The neighborhood is famous both for the church which houses the tombs of Italian glories (Michelangelo, Dante, Macchiavelli) and the ancient center of leather workers' production. The church ticket costs 8€ for person. generally we stop of about 30 minutes in this square
Michelangelo's David? restaurant? Both? at this point in the tour we have four options. 1) that you have independently booked the academy museum to see Michelangelo's David (if you want to combine it with this tour we always recommend making the reservation between 12 and 1.30 pm onwards, always using the official Firenze Musei website) and therefore we take you there 2) we book you and take you to a typical restaurant/trattoria 3) we do both 4) we don't do anything of what we just described and we take you to the next stop. we want to remind you that we are flexible and our intent is to try to satisfy your wishes based on your preferences.
Strategic point heart of the historic center where we leave you free to see all the nearby monuments such as Piazza del Duomo where is the Cattedrale Santa Maria del Fiore with the Giotto's bell tower and the baptistery , Piazza del Mercato Nuovo with the famous golden wild boar, Piazza della Signoria with its wonderful statues (included the Michelangelo's David replica) and the famous Ponte Vecchio plenty of jewelers.
on the way back we will make a detour through the hills of Tuscany (also a feasible option on the outward journey) and in about 90 minutes we will be back at the Port. this option is also customizable, if you don't like curves very much or you're not interested we can go back to the classic route

This tour can only start from Livorno, Pisa or La Spezia. The driver will show up with a sign with your name. All our drivers are driver guides, which means they provide general information during the trip. If you want a certified tour guide you must request it when booking. The walking tour option must be agreed privately.

Giuliano was phenomenal. We had to pivot our agenda due to a medical emergency and he was patient with our delay, kind, and even helped translate for us in the hospital! Giuliano "made our day" and made our first trip to Italy so memorable! We were so comfortable and never felt rushed! We learned so much from the time we left in the morning to when we came back to the ship! Guiliano is so professional and knowledgeable about Livorno, Florence, and Pisa and other regions in Italy! This was our first tour with our very own driver, with a great sense of humor that we all enjoyed. Coming from a small island in Canada, we certainly appreciated Guiliano’s sense of humor and how he made all of us feel safe!. We had several last minute plans and to say that they went above and beyond to accommodate and outright make them happen, is an understatement. They certainly have plenty of connections to make sure they can fill in some blanks if there are any issues that come up and they were very professional and helpful about it. Our tour guide,Giuliano, was fantastic! He picked us up from the cruise port and made sure we were on time for all of our tickets, climbing the leaning at 9 and the academy museum at 13:00. He gave us insight into each location and took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch. Then he made sure we were back at the cruise port right in time. I highly recommend this tour if you are in port for the day!
thank you very much for this beautiful review, and I take this opportunity to tell anyone who wants to have a similar experience that the tickets for the tower and the David must be purchased well in advance (at least 3 months) from the official sites and by contacting us privately we can tell you which ones they are. The climb to the Tower is entirely on foot and there are 251 steps. For safety reasons, children under 8 are not allowed to enter the tower. --- We remain at your disposal for your visits in Tuscany in the future! As far as tours are concerned you have a lot of choice!

This was our 3rd Viator excursion for this trip and by far the worst. Let me preface this with the other two blew us away. They were incredible from start to finish. I wish more people would write a review of this type of excursion as we didn’t know what to expect. The driver was very nice but it was definitely on his agenda not ours. If we were to do Florence or Pisa again, we would not book a private transfer. The private transfer didn’t save us any time or freedoms other than a smaller bus and is very pricey. Save a lot of money and take the train or go with the cruise line.

Our professional driver guide, Martin, followed the tour itinerary precisely and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. He provided continuous commentary about tuscany and the locations visited, offering both historical insight and local knowledge. If the experience did not meet your expectations, we kindly suggest reviewing the tour program more thoroughly beforehand. As clearly stated, historic cities like Pisa and Florence have restricted access to vehicles. However, thanks to our special permits, Martin was able to bring you closer to key landmarks than public transport ever could. For example, he stopped right by the entrance of Piazza dei Miracoli, just a few steps from the leaning tower — something buses and trains cannot do. During the journey to Florence, Martin showed you the Tuscany countryside area that makes all customers fall in love (and that you haven't even mentioned) so you could skip the traffic, a road that, we underline, is too narrow for buses to drive on. In Florence, you were taken to Piazzale Michelangelo for a panoramic view, then dropped off in Piazza Santa Croce (leather production district) and later in Piazza della Repubblica — the heart of the historic center. From there, you had walking access to all the major attractions: Piazza del Mercato Nuovo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza del Duomo, and more, all within a 5-minute stroll. It's important to note that these areas are strictly pedestrian — not even the mayor’s car can access them. Additionally, Martin chose the pick up point (to return) to Piazza Pitti so as not to make you go back and forth twice and therefore giving you the chance to see an additional square as well to enhance your experience. The tour was customizable within the 9-hour time frame, allowing flexibility with stops based on your preferences. Therefore, claiming there was no free time is improbable. Martin also demonstrated kindness and professionalism when he offered you water on several occasions and promptly cleaned the vehicle after an unfortunate accident involving your child — a gesture that goes beyond standard service. If your disappointment stems from expecting something the tour clearly doesn’t promise, we regret that, but it is not a reflection of the quality we provide. It's like walking into a sushi restaurant and leaving a negative review because you expected pizza — the issue lies in the expectation, not the service provided. We respectfully request that this review be reconsidered or removed, as it does not reflect the service we delivered nor the overwhelmingly positive feedback we consistently receive from our clients over the years. Giuliano was such an incredibly fun and knowledgeable guide! He truly opened up my mind to a new understanding of Italy.. without his guidance we wouldn’t have fully understood the history, impact and culture of Florence. He was so patient with us while we took a million photos 😂 He delivered beyond expectations for us & we got the full Tuscan experience! Private tours are the way to go. The tour was excellent. My guide was Giuliano. We arrived at Pisa early and escaped the crowds which allowed for a thorough tour of the leaning tower, Cathedral, and surrounding town. The visit to Florence was equally rewarding with Giuliano covering the history and culture of the city and area. During the tour chose a visit to the Uffizi Museum of Art which should not be missed and ample time was allowed for hitting the high-lights of this fantastic house of historical art and culture. Giuliano suggested an excellent, non-tourist, restaurant for an amazing lunch with a stop up the street for real made-on-site Italian gelato. Giuliano is a real conversationalist adding antidotal stories at each stop. I not only recommend this tour, but I recommend asking specifically for Giuliano as your driver/guide.
