Did this in 100 F degrees and it was still great! Parma is incredibly bike friendly! So interesting to learn about cheese & our guide was great!
Great way to see parma. Super easy biking through scenic parma. Way better than a bus. Apparently I need to type more to leave a review….
Thank you David for the bike tour. It was such an informative tour of the Parma cheese factory and the local area. It was topped off with an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Our bike tour with Davide and company was the absolute highlight of our Italy! Parma is an incredibly bike-friendly town with beautiful sights, amazing food, and rich culture. Even more, I’m so glad that we got to know Davide and see his passion for both cycling and the culinary arts. We highly recommend anyone visiting Parma to do this tour!
What a great way to learn first hand the art and craft of making DOP Reggiano Parmesano cheese. An easy bike ride through the countryside enroute to the cheese producer gave us a glimpse of the region. Our very knowledgeable guide showed us the intricacies of producing quality cheese. As an added bonus, we saw a bit of charming Parma on our way in and out of town and had a delicious lunch.
We had a wonderful half day tour with Davide! This type of experience is always a holiday highlight! Davide was very kind and friendly as well as efficient and well organised. The bikes were excellent . We rode out of town through the countryside to a cheese factory. The tour was incredible and Davide very knowledgeable on the cheese making process and the industry in general. Also included a cheese tasting. Then riding on further to the Palazzo Ducale del Giardino through Ducal Park and alongside a stream to a lovely neighbourhood where we stopped to enjoy some of the most delicious cured meats and cheeses along with some great wine before heading back to town. Davide, you are a wonderful host and all round great guy. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and we very much enjoyed the conversation. We hope you will visit New Zealand one day soon. Grazie Mille!!
Well worth your time! Easy, flat bike ride with only one over-pass to climb :). Guide was aware of safety challenges, provided helmets for bikes, and shared plenty of interesting details and stops. Very kind, careful and knowledgeable.
It was a good outing but the other couple were not so good. Arrived late, held us up and made us end early. None the fault of the tour guide. He continued on with us after taking them back and was great and fun to talk with.
We rode bikes out of Parma into farm country and toured a cheese factory. Then we tasted cheese and then rode to a meat shop to taste fresh prosciutto.
We were disappointed with the tour. We only stopped at two places and was only three hours not four. We all agreed that on a bike we should be able to see and stop at many more places.
Carl, I'm sorry you were disappointed with the tour that day. To be honest, that day was the hardest day of the year for me. As I had mentioned, the night before I had food poisoning and I had no energy. However, I didn't want to cancel the tour on you last minute. I tried to adjust by riding an e-bike to go a bit easy on my body but I acknowledge that I perhaps was not at my best. Nonetheless, we did complete the tour despite starting late so you could find your wallet. Like with Parmigiano cheese, perfection doesn't exist. Best wishes, Davide
