Great experience for foodies!
It was very informative. We had a very good guide and got to see how the Parmigiano Reggiano and Palma ham were produced. We would’ve liked to have seen how the balsamic vinegar was produced, but I presume it’s not the season. Even so it would be nice to see the equipment rather than just the storage barrels. Despite this it was very good with generous samples and a great guide, Matia.
The guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant and the stops were well chosen and quaint. Our only complaint would be our driver who must have been late getting home, could not understand a word of english and had a little attitude. Other than that we had a great time and would highly recommend.
What a great experience - guide and driver were superb. Fully recommend
This tour is truly one of those rare occasions in life when you get more than you paid for. Over the course of 7 hours we visited three different private producers to taste parmigiano cheese, Parma ham, and traditional Modena balsamic vinegar. Our driver/guide, Paolo, was a font of knowledge and a friendly face who drove us around for more than an hour in total. Each stop was excellent, with an in-depth explanation of the production process followed by a generous tasting and the opportunity to purchase products directly from the producing family. The details were well-organized, such as the use of radio headsets and the itinerary that went from the longest process (cheese) to the shortest (vinegar).
Fantastic tour, very informative.Mateo was excellent. Pick up and drop off on time. All three tours were great.
In-depth experience related to parmegianno cheese and prosciutto. We had a very friendly, knowledgeable guide.
Sergio was a fantastic tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the factories and how the products are made. The only thing that would have made the day even better was if Sergio was also the tour guide of the balsamic factory (he's the tour guide for parmesan and prosciutto factories) because of how excellent he was. We learned so much. It was a seamless day from start to finish with excellent tastings and tours. I highly recommend this trip.
We loved every minute of the tour - knowledgeable, tastings and experience. An experience of Parma and Modena - fantastic. Bravo!!
I did the complete tour and I emphasize that the balzamic aceto was my favorite. Completely out of the obvious and the aceto is wonderful. It was impossible to leave without some to take home.
