Take in the amazing diverse scenery as we take little used roads and tracks to explore the Atherton Tablelands, meeting local producers and tasting a variety of unique flavours of the tropics.

Ease into the day with a beachfront tropical breakfast at Ellis Beach, featuring gourmet sandwiches, sweet treats, and barista coffee. Ocean views and relaxed vibes set the perfect tone for your Outback adventure.
Next stop is Emerald Creek Ice creamery a family-owned business Positioned on 2.15ha on the Kennedy Highway between Mareeba and Kuranda. Their Ice-cream is made on-site in their factory using pure cream and full cream milk. Sorbets (dairy free, full fruit) also made on-site using local Tablelands fruit. This stop you will have a tasting cup of unique tropical flavours.
Stop at ‘The Humpy’, the best place to go to for freshly harvested Atherton Tablelands produce straight from the growers. From vegetables to tropical fruits and hundreds of different varieties of nuts, dried fruits locally produced jams and sauces. Taste some seasonal fruits and many different flavours of hot local peanuts and macadamia nuts.
Enjoy a relaxed lunch at the heritage-listed Lake Barrine Teahouse, nestled beside a tranquil crater lake in the heart of the rainforest. Savour a delicious meal in this peaceful setting, surrounded by lush greenery and timeless charm.
Gallo Dairyland Head through the picturesque village of Yungaburra to a fully operational dairy farm spread across 1000 acres of rich red volcanic soil with handcrafted chocolates and a gourmet cheese factory. Here we sample a full cheese platter andTaste irresistible Swiss style filled chocolates that are a work of art.
Here we stop for a tasting of some award winning spirits and enjoy the beautiful gardens and friendly animals.
Here we enter a Private property of 165 acres and we head down to the Platypus Hut where we relax on day beds or up at the bar and watch for Platypus in the creek. We sip on Queensland white and red wine and Great Northern beer and get to know each other a little better.

A great itinerary. Value for money. Only thing we would have liked was a wine tasting at one of the vineyards.

Just as a little local quirk of Tropical North Queensland — we don’t actually have traditional grape vineyards here due to the climate 🍍🍋 The wines you tasted are made from locally grown tropical fruits instead, which makes them quite unique to the region. An enjoyable tour trip with interesting food stops and tastings. Our driver Stevie was great fun and informative with local knowledge and historic details provided. It was a full day event, taking almost nine hours from pick up to drop off, great value. Saw much of the countryside and plenty of food.

What a fabulous tour. Chris was fantastic, we had the added bonus of the beautiful Bosun. So much good food, drink, cheese, chocolate. Great scenery. We left this tour after 10 hours saying that we could do it again. Loved it

What an incredible way to see far north Queensland! Chris and his sweet canine sidekick Bosun were delightful hosts and kept us entertained all day. The food was great, and each stop offered fun new things to taste. It was a great way to sample lots of food, and also see a lot of different landscapes all in one day. They also went out of their way to pick us up/drop us off in Palm Cove, which was much appreciated!

Extremely informative but a very long day but enjoyable . Our guide Chris was excellent with his knowledge and we felt safe driving with him up the mountain!! Great day all round totally recommend this tour 👌

We had a amazing day out with our guides Chris and Bosun today. I didn't know what to expect but the tour exceeded our expectations especially seeing the platypus. Had a wonderful day seeing the sights and feasting on local food and beverages and trying to spot a platypus or two as well. Chris our guide, and his trusty mate Bosun the delightful little pooch who we all thought gorgeous, gave us a very good tour and providing us with ecological, geological and historical aspects of the area. Had a different experience at every stop we visited. The local producers are amazing and we all should support local. Enjoyed the singalong as we were heading back to PD. Really topped off tbe whole day. Highly recommend and a must do while holidaying in the area.
