Sunrise Transfer To Pico Do Arieiro, Hike To Pico Ruivo & Return From Teixeira

Our Sunrise tour to Pico do Arieiro was booked two weeks in advance of our tour. Pickup was for 530 am. They were a no show. They sent us a message at 330 am stating today's the day with our pickup information etc. No one answered their contact no. And no one showed up to pick us up. Finally we got connected to their operator who confirmed that they would send a message to the Company which they did requesting a refund. This company is not reliable and we will never book throught them again.

This experience was easy and coordinated from start to finish. Elisabeth provided clear and constant communication. She even provided different options when the tour we selected was sold out by the national park. Ciro (our driver) was a sweet man who was on time, clear in his instructions, and on time through the entire experience. Will be taking friends on this tour when we return.

If you want to do this hike hire tour service & don’t attempt parking on your own. This tour company was excellent.

Our sunrise hike to PR1 was insanely perfect. The staff perfectly prepared us with what to bring, what to expect and detailed instruction. It made for an epic experience!

Absolutely outrageous experience. We paid 45€ EACH (315€ total for 7 people) for the PR1 hike through this company, only to be turned away and unable to do the hike at all because separate tickets were required. Apparently this was “mentioned in an email,” but there was zero real effort to ensure customers actually understood that without these tickets the entire activity becomes impossible. No verification, no proper reminder, no check before departure. Another customer doing the same hike received a WhatsApp message — we didn’t. What exactly are you paying 45€ for if the company does not even verify that customers can access the activity? In the end this service was literally just an overpriced taxi ride. The worst part was the attitude afterwards: completely dismissive, defensive, and refusing even the smallest partial refund despite the fact that we never got to participate in the activity we paid for. They were happy to keep the full 315€ while offering absolutely no solution and taking zero responsibility. It is honestly absurd that customers can lose hundreds of euros because of one missed email while the company makes no attempt whatsoever to prevent it. Any serious tour operator would at least confirm that mandatory tickets have been purchased before taking people there. If you book with this company, be aware that if anything goes wrong, their answer will simply be: “not our responsibility.” Terrible customer service and a complete lack of professionalism or empathy.

The trip was experience-rich and nature was amazing. PR1 was nothing for us who are not fond of heights, but PR3 and view point on Pico do Ariero was great. We chose to continue on PR 3.1 to Monte.

Absolutely great! Easy to book and sort pick up and drop off. Really friendly driver and helpful whatsapp contact. The walks weren't too challenging and had absolutely spectacular views! It was chilly while watching the stunning sunrise, so definitely take layers!!

Organised transfer to the walk with all the appropriate info given for pickup and meeting times. Views were absolutely stunning!

I had a lot of fun and would recommand it. But should give more time to do the hikes. I was in a hurry to be on time even with the recommandation they gave us. Didnt have time to enjoy my moment on the PR3. Overall, a really good experience! The driver was really nice!

The weather conditions were known to the organization and should have led to the cancellation of the excursion. Now paid money for a walk, which was hardly worth it (PR3) and bought tickets for a walk, which was irresponsible on that day (PR1). All in all unfortunately a hugely disappointing experience.
