Summer Dog Sledding Adventure in Willow, Alaska

Description
The most intimate summer dog sledding experience in Alaska! Our carts are specifically for dog mushing and seat just two people each for an authentic adventure. Your ride takes place on our own secluded, private training trails, surrounded by Alaska spruce and birch trees. These are the same trails we use to train for Iditarod in the winter! Our carts are 100% dog-powered, just like a sled, so you can take in the natural sounds around you, without any noisy motors or nearby traffic! After every run, we turn all the dogs loose to run around freely and interact with guests. Enjoy meeting and playing with our champion dogs in an open house-style tour, where questions are encouraged! Your visit also includes a tour of the kennel and a nature walk to our hand-built, wooden pavilion with a Denali view, for an interactive demonstration of our winter gear and race sled! We provide a complimentary snack and water for you to cool off from our summer fun. We can't wait to see you soon!

We had an amazing time doing some summer dog sledding at Alaskan Husky Adventures! Our guide, Dane, was so friendly and informative. And we got to meet some of their newest puppies! It’s a beautiful drive from Anchorage, and I’d highly recommend visiting!
This experience was great. We learned about dog sledding, the Iditarod, and the dogs. After meeting the dogs, we went on a 2+ mile sledding experience (in a wheeled wagon bc there isn't any snow in the summer) and then had the chance to cuddle with some of the young puppies. A marvelous experience
This excursion was so much fun! It was neat to interact with the dogs and puppies! The ride itself was pretty bumpy and we went when it was raining outside so I got a little muddy sitting in the front of the cart. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about the Iditarod!
My family and I had such a special time at Alaska Husky Adventures! The owners and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, obviously passionate about their work, and most importantly, love their pups! We received just the right amount of information and history about dog-sledding and were able to ask unlimited questions :) The ride itself was perfect, and we got to spend some time with new puppies. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and we were so inspired by their start-up story! If you're looking for a quintessential Alaska experience, look no further!
Matt and his crew were great. They were very informative about everything they were doing and about the whole process.
The Alaskan Husky Adventures was a real treat! Loved experiencing the passion of the guys for their sport ( all of them had done the Iditerod at least once) and their dogs! Especially loved the puppies!
Absolutely an amazing experience! 10 days in Alaska and this was definitely at the top of the list in cool things! My son loved getting to pet all the pups and ride in a sled! The staff were friendly, so willing to answer questions, and help in any way. I have already started raving about this experience to random people in the airport! I will be recommending this forever!
This is well worth the ride north of anchorage. It is authentic Iditarod experience between the staff, the dogs and the equipment. The ride with the mushers was exhilarating. Loved that the dogs are so friendly and being able to pet all of them including new puppies.
Spent 10 days in Alaska with my boys, ages 16 and 12. Of all the things we did, from fishing to zip lining, the summer dog sledding was their favorite adventure. The staff and dogs were super friendly, and we had a blast getting pulled through the woods! I took a bit of a flyer when booking this experience, and I’m so glad we did!! Definitely worth it!!
Such a wonderful experience. The dogs were so cute, especially the puppies.
