Discover two of the most remarkable buildings on Passeig de Gràcia. Casa Batlló, designed by Antoni Gaudí, is a masterpiece of creativity, known for its flowing shapes, vibrant colors, and imaginative design inspired by nature. Standing beside it, Casa Amatller offers a striking contrast with its more structured façade and influences from Northern European architecture. Together, these buildings illustrate the diversity and richness of Barcelona’s modernist movement.

Our walking tour led us through old Barcelona with our private tour guide Hengameh. What a collection of knowledge she has. She talked about the architecture of the old and new buildings and was able to answer any question my wife and I had. My biggest takeaway was the Roman influence on the city. She showed us a remaining Roman aquaeduct, Roman pillars, old castles, etc. This tour was well worth the time/money spent.
We had a really great experience exploring Barcelona with Hengame. She was warm, easy to talk to, and clearly very knowledgeable about the city’s history and culture. The tour was well-paced and took us through some fascinating spots in the Gothic Quarter that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. What we liked most was how she explained things in a simple and engaging way, without making it feel like a lecture.
Thanks a million for the awesome review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the vibe of the tour. Hengameh is definitely a star when it comes to keeping things fun and skipping the 'history lecture' feel—we'll make sure she sees this! It's great that you got to see those hidden spots in the Gothic Quarter too. Hope to see you guys on another JoyaTrip walk soon!
We had a 2.5-hour tour in Barcelona with Hengame, and it ended up being one of the most enjoyable parts of our time in the city. What we really appreciated was how flexible the experience was — whenever we wanted to stop, change the pace, focus on something specific, or do something a bit differently, she adjusted everything around us. It really felt like the tour was built around what we wanted rather than following a fixed script. She also knows Barcelona extremely well and shared a lot of interesting insights that made us see the city in a much deeper way. On top of that, she took some really beautiful photos for us, which was such a lovely bonus. She made the whole experience feel easy, personal, and memorable.
Tailor-made experiences are exactly what we strive for, so hearing that Hengame pivoted the tour to match your pace makes us very proud. It’s the spontaneous moments and the 'hidden' stories that make a city stick in your memory. We’ll be sure to tell Hengame to keep her camera ready for the next adventure! Thanks for the wonderful recommendation.
We had a really great time on this tour. Hengame was friendly, patient and easy to talk to. She explained things in a simple and interesting way, not boring at all. We visited some beautiful spots in the Gothic Quarter and also places we would never find by ourselves. She also gave us good tips for food and local places. Highly recommend this tour!
The 'Best part of your trip'—wow, what a compliment! We are so glad Hengame could make Barcelona’s history feel fresh and exciting rather than just a list of dates. Sharing those 'secret' spots and local food tips is our favorite way to make a tour feel personal. Thank you for the high recommendation, and we hope you enjoyed every bite of those local spots she suggested!
