Fantastic, lively tour that brought the history to life. Highly recommended And the views from the top are simply outstanding
Great walking tour with Emma our local guide . Interesting history and added other things to look at
I’m blanking on his name unfortunately but it was a thorough, lovely tour.
A very enjoyable way to learn more about the history of this fascinating city and the events and people that created it. Georgia was a perfect guide: informative, warm and constantly considerate of the needs of her party (from a 2 year old in a buggy to much older folk) to ensure the pace of the tour was well set and maintained. We would highly recommend this tour as a must-do introduction to Stirling.
We booked a tour as part of our Stirling city pass and we not disappointed. Our guide Emma was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable and led us through Old Stirling town imparting great facts and anecdotes, in an engaging manner that meant we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and didn't realise how quickly time passed and how much we covered. I would highly recommend it as an introduction to Stirling's history.
I took part in this Stirling Old Town Walking Tour and loved the experience. The guide explained the history of the city very simply, so it did not bother to listen. Had the opportunity to visit Stirling Castle and The Church of the Holy Rude, which was very nice. Listening to the stories of Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace, and Robert the Bruce made the places feel more alive. The pace of the walk was comfortable and it was nice to see small hidden spots at times. If you like history, you can take this tour.
Emma is a great guide. She knows and gave us a lot of interesting information about Sterling. She speacks very clear (very important for a non native speacker). It is an excellent tour
Compared to the cost of walking tours this was an absolute bargain. It was an easy meet up, look out for person wearing orange hi-vis jacket. There wasn't many people on our tour so was easy to hear everything and get all questions answered. Sorry I can't remember the lady who did the tour but she was great and gave helpful recommendations. If you don't know the old part of Stirling can be quite steep so may not be suited for everyone, but there was no rush so didn't feel exhausted at all. The tour ends at Stirling Castle so a perfect place if you want to visit there.
Thoroughly enjoyed our walk around historic Stirling with our knowledgeable and engaging host, Georgia. We got to see so many interesting things that we would have just walked by, had we been by ourselves. 100% recommended!
Georgia was an amazing tour guide! Great history lesson and information.
