St. Stephen's Cathedral is the most emblematic monument in Vienna. Construction began in the 12th century. Only the main door in Romanesque style dates from this period. In 1359, Duke Rodolphe IV ordered its conversion into a Gothic building. The chevron tile roof is beautiful: emblem of the Hasbourgs.
The most spectacular cathedral I’ve ever seen. The gothic architecture is one of a kind. I felt spiritually transported as I walked through. Definitely a memorable experience and a highlight of my trip to Vienna.
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt reflection! 😊 We're thrilled that the cathedral left such a powerful impression on you—its gothic beauty truly is breathtaking. So glad it became a highlight of your Vienna trip. Hope to welcome you back again someday! ⛪✨
