Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Cathedral - a must see !!

We did the Skip the line Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peters Tour and our guide was Gina from Barcelona. She was fantastic!! There is so much to see and information to present in this tour and I think Gina did an excellent job delivering the information with in the amount of time that we had for the tour.I thought she did an excellent highlighting what we were going to see by using the pamphlet prior to entering the Sistine Chapel and the history behind it. She really covered a lot and asked us questions to keep us engaged. This is a very popular site to see, so it is crowded. Make reservations months in advance to ensure you are able to visit, as it is a must see!! Also keep in mind that many of Rome’s attractions involve a lot of walking on uneven ground in some cases and stairs!! If you are traveling with children/strollers, scooters/ crutches, or are not able to walk well to keep up with the pace of a group tour due to age or injuries, consider doing a self guided tour or notifying the tour operator in advance of your situation. We have been on a few tours where grandparents could not walk up all the stairs or hard to walk on the uneven ground of ruins. I felt bad for them because a wheelchair would have made it easier the families to stay together. This tour also requires women to cover their shoulders and men will have to remove their hat inside the churches. Stay hydrated during summer months! There is a lot of people visiting, and some places are hit so be prepared! This tour is amazing! To see all of the Michelangelo up close and personal is really quite moving. The grounds of the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s cathedral is breathtaking and moving. I’m out guys on your must see list - it is worth the visit!!

Excellent communication, knowledgeable

I appreciated the excellent communication from Crown Tours leading up to the date and time of our tour. It was easy to find the meeting point and check in was smooth. (That’s not my experience with some other tour operators!) Yvonne, our guide, was knowledgeable and expertly led us through the throngs of people. I learned so much from her about the Vatican, the museum, the artists, the Sistine chapel, and the basilica from her. I highly recommend Crown Tours and Yvonne.
