Spending time in Cartagena – Lunch and Cocktail at Club Kabanna

The experience wasn't that bad. The issue with the boat was terrible; I traveled with an elderly adult and a child, and they did not respect the agreed schedule, and the boatman retaliated with a deficient service.

This was my first trip to Cartagena, and although I was very excited, I was also quite scared by everything one reads on the internet. I booked my day pass at this beach club in Tierra Bomba because, first of all, the hours caught my attention, and secondly, the open bar. We were five friends and took the 10:30 am departure, which was ideal for us as it allowed us to have breakfast and wake up calmly (almost all tours leave very early). The open bar had a wide variety of cocktails, but we only opted for tequila sunrises and mojitos, which we enjoyed; we could order without having to think about the bill. For lunch, we all ordered the traditional fried fish from Cartagena, so I don't know how the rest of the menu was, but the fish was very tasty. We returned at 5:00 pm, tired but happy. I want to highlight the attention from Angelica and Mayra, who were very attentive to us. If you want a day pass close to the city, where you can enjoy a full day at the beach with few people, good music, and great service, do not hesitate to visit. We hired the internship for 9 people, they took us in a boat with capacity for 6 people, they did not have a life jacket for everyone. The captain had to go very slowly so we wouldn't sink. At the club the service was bad, we hired the open bar plan but we were restricted from drinking, the alcohol was poor quality so we ordered beers and after drinking 2 or 3 each we were told that there was no more. The bottles of water ran out and although he said sodas were included, sparkling water and coke were charged as an additional. Not worth what it costs

Everything within the planned, very good, very cool, recommend, good food, private beach, did all right.

We went in December, the only good thing was the fish that my husband loved and actually congratulated the lady who cooked. There is a lot of trash in the sea that comes to the surface and no one of the club employees lifts (we were raising glass, bags), the nice zero pool, ugly and old towels, vendors come in, drinks are bad. We hung out and tried to have fun but we wouldn't come back.

We were an intern the experience was very bad. The place was full of garbage, the beach area had many flies and the pool was dirty; it was not superficial, you could tell that it had been several days without toilet. We paid for an all-inclusive plan that, according to previous messages, offered open bar. However, when we claimed for the conditions, the attendant tried to charge us for the consumption separately, as if we had not paid the full package, even though we had evidence of what we had been promised. Moreover, Julian’s customer service was unacceptable: he threatened us, cancelled our return transport — which was already paid for — and practically forced us to withdraw. The only rescueable thing was the friendliness of the reception staff. I don't recommend it.

Cocktails sometimes took a little while when it got fuller, but everything else was fine. The food we liked a lot, we ordered fried fish and a seafood casserole that was very delicious. The staff was always friendly and helpful, which makes one not bothered by the wait.

The hotel where I stayed recommended it and I decided to try. It was a good choice to spend the day without having to go far. Normal service, good food and friendly atmosphere. I'd come back.
