Walk down from the castle towards the river Thames and cross the bridge and you will be in Eton. To make the most of your time at Windsor Castle, pick up one of the free multimedia guides at the start of your visit or bring your own headphones. Available in various languages. You can add extra stop time Car £40 per hour and Minivan £50 per hour payable to the driver on the day by credit card or cash. PLEASE BOOK THIS IN ADVANCE WITH US. Nizam our driver was very nice and professional. He picked us up at Southampton cruise port after our cruise and took us to the Windsor Palace area with explicit instructions on where to go to see the changing of the guards and enjoy the town. He then met us after our quick visit to and dropped us off at the Heathrow airport. Highly recommend. He picked us up in an eight passenger sprinter van, which was very clean and comfortable.

We booked this tour because we wanted a ride to visit Windsor but Mel gave us so much more than we expected. She us gave recommendations for places to eat and see. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to show you around.
Viator provided excellent communication prior to our excursion departure. We were kept informed of changes to our driver/vehicle. Our driver Ash was very precise with arrival and departure pick up locations. Roundtrip private minivan transport only, no guide info, from Southampton Cruise Terminal to Windsor Castle. Castle admission purchased separately. Fast, efficient transport. A bit pricey but it was private.
Tour was excellent and our tour operator was very informative which made the trip so enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful day with our driver Mel - who was a superb driver, so much information, useful tips, to avoid queues, and have the best experience. We loved having Mel as our private driver, we maximized our time and she really gave us all the information to make it wow! How funny -- she's not an "official tour guide" and shared so much with us, from travel tips, to history, to "let's take this side road" and "here's the spot for lunch" and so much more. Mel made it wow! PS her lovely Mercedes van was spacious, comfortable, with cold water and more. We felt so pampered.
Great driver/car, very friendly. We discovered that the tour description was unclear regarding entry tickets for castle entry and tour, but the driver Melanie was able to get us entry tickets while we were in the car. The instructions have since been clarified in the online description (entry tickets not included in price of the tour). Although it’s a long ride and an expensive excursion, it was worth it to see the castle and the changing of the guard.
