This is not your typical wine tasting. The Wine & True Crime Tour blends Solvang’s quirkiest tasting rooms with chilling tales of crime and the macabre. Think of it as a storytelling experience with drinks, not a guided lesson in wine. Over two hours, you’ll join a small group of fellow true crime fans as we visit three unique spots, including a slasher-themed winery and offbeat wine bars. Along the way, your guide will share gripping stories of 70s serial killers, unsolved mysteries, and haunted mortuaries. You’ll enjoy three generous pours: a wine flight, a wine-based tiki cocktail (no rum here), and a sparkling wine farewell toast. Come ready for dark tales, bold pours, and a one-of-a-kind night out.

The Danish village has a dark side at night...We'll see a number of creepy locations throughout the historic core of Solvang village.
Walk near the city's collection of gorgeous and historic motorcycles.
See our town's historic outdoor theater, modeled after a Shakespearian stage.
Take photos of the city's iconic Danish windmill, which may hold dark secrets.
We'll walk by one of the town's most charming antique shops.
We'll pass the famed Danish clog outside of this family-run shoe store.

We were in Solvang to celebrate my wife’s birthday with some friends. I came across this tour and thought it would be fun. It was so interesting and held us all riveted with the stories. The pacing was very good and we enjoyed tasting wine and cocktails as we went. Our guide, Casey, was excellent and truly kept our attention. I would highly recommend taking this tour. We plan on doing the ghost tour the next time we are there.

Casey, our guide, did a great job! I am a true crime junky and the stories he shared are ones I had never heard. Very entertaining and engaging. My only critiques would be the noise level. At one stop it was extremely hard to hear if you weren’t sitting close. The other thing would be the bang for the buck. I would have liked to see one or two more pours for the price tag. Overall, a great experience! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Solvang.

Our guide did an awesome job, Solvang has some decent lore! And we had a great time checkjing out the spots in Solvang too. The wine was excellent and Tiki cocktail was really good too! Would recommend this to anyone visiting :)
