We are an Austin, TX-based global custom event design company offering scavenger hunts and other events in 300+ cities in North America and beyond. Our specially hand-crafted adventures are equal parts tour, creative challenge, detective hunt, and social experiment! Guests get to discover in an alternate reality our favorite hidden gems off the beaten trail and creatively interpret fun art, history, and culture clues - for points! They get to enjoy fame and glory while appearing on our website’s international leaderboard, no matter what their score. They get to essentially race other teams in other cities, even if they don’t have competitors who have signed up in their city that day. - Note: You MUST provide a correct, working, domestic phone number in your reservation in order for your hunt to be possible, since it is remotely hosted. Each team must bring at least one fully charged smart phone that has GPS and that can can send and receive data, photos, videos, and text messages. If you have an international phone number or encounter other technical difficulties, you must complete the game using WhatsApp or email. You can easily provide us with this contact information through a Viator message in advance of your hunt.

It was a great way to see the town
Enjoyed the beginning activities but wish we could have learned more about the history of the town . We struggled getting around with our GPS; would have been useful to have a map provided with locations in a logical order. Our preference would have probably been to do a 2-hr guided walking tour instead.
You have to have Whatsapp, your camera, Google maps (or similar) open for about two hours, which completely drained my battery. The dozen "challenges" were vague ideas and locations on a Canva presentation. They were not made by a local, neither did they really incorporate anything specific to Solvang. There was not even a general map so you could plan out this adventure. We somehow got 4 million points but I don't know if that is good or bad. Maybe it would have been more fun with a big group but as a couple it was definitely not worth $40+.
This was the most fun thing we did on our recent visit to Solvang. I’d recommend doing it on the first day of your trip because it takes you all over the town with lots of opportunities to snack and see all the cute little places Solvang has to offer. It works by downloading WhatsApp. Instructions for each challenge then pop up and you upload photos of proof of completion. It’s a blast and I highly recommend it.
