This is a private tour that begins with a convenient hotel pick-up at 9:00 am. Your experience starts with a visit to the impressive The Bell Monument, where you’ll have time to take memorable photos of this unique landmark. Next, you’ll explore two of Sofia’s most significant cultural treasures — the National History Museum and the Boyana Church, both offering fascinating insights into Bulgaria’s rich history and heritage. Finally, you’ll head into Sofia’s vibrant city center to discover its most iconic historical landmarks, rounding off a memorable and enriching experience. Additionally — depending on the season — the walking tour in Sofia may take place either at the beginning of the tour (in the morning) or at the end (in the afternoon).

Itinerary
The tour starts at 9 am when you will be picked up by a private guide from your accommodation in Sofia. By car, you will head to the outskirts of the city. Your first stop will be The Bells Monument, an international symbol of peace featuring bells from countries around the world, set in a spacious park environment where you will be able to take some beautiful photos.
After that, you will continue to the Boyana neighborhood, situated at the foothills of Vitosha Mountain. There you will visit the National History Museum—the biggest museum in Bulgaria and one of the largest in the Balkans. It houses rich collections from antiquity to modern times. The guided tour in the museum lasts between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Next, you will visit the remarkable Boyana Church, recognized by UNESCO for its exceptionally well-preserved 13th-century frescoes. The visit to the church is about 1 hour.
Finally, from 2 pm to 5 pm, you will head to the center of Sofia where there will be a 3- hour sightseeing tour. You will go around the most interesting buildings and places and learn their history from your guide- Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Saint Sofia Basilica, Saint George Rotunda, the Parliament, the Presidency, the Roman Remains, and others. The tour will finish at around 5 pm near the beginning of “Vitosha” street- the main walking street in Sofia.
