We loved the trip and it was a unique experience, especially getting stuck! We felt like we were in safe hands at all times and really enjoyed the changing scenery. The staff were pleasant. I think there was a missed opportunity because there was no information given about the landscape or the glacier, or anything else Icelandic. It is a wonderful way to experience the really rugged parts of Iceland.
Such an incredible experience to be able to snow Mobile on top of a glacier! (In the summer!) 10/10 recommend for those who want to go on an exciting adventure!
The experience of snowmobile is good and the location is great. However the staff is very adamant and non accomodative. We had booked for 7 people and 1 person was not well but they did not allow us to cancel the activity. Also the staff was playing among themselves and did not help the member for even for small round. You should do this activity with some other agency which is supportive and has good staff.

Excellent equipment/clothing they provided did the job. The staff were very friendly and gave good instruction. They were also very patient with those less competent (not me) The driving can be tiring though.

Booked with Viator. Best thing we did on our 8 day trip to Iceland. But reading the other reviews, I will say we had everything going for us: perfect weather (sunny, temps in the high 30's), everyone on time, small group (about 12 snowmobiles), and everyone driving the snowmobiles was sober and ready and willing to keep up. There were no flips or accidents on our trips. And we kept what was to me a very good pace! My husband started out driving , I was going to switch with him at the half way mark. I realized less than 3 minutes in I was too much of a scaredy cat to drive that fast so I let him drive the whole time, which I think was wise! At the end the guide complimented us and told us were were a good group: "Everybody kept up!" So the moral of the story is, don't drive if you can't keep up! It is pricey but really when are you going to have a chance to snowmobile on a glacier again? I think the length of the trip was perfect.

We had this experience in early May, probably not the ideal time. I must say that it was still very pleasant and fun. Very impressive route to get to the base camp (from the parking lot of Gullfoss about forty minutes). The equipment provided was suitable and well maintained. The snowmobile ride takes about an hour with a stop (to change the driver if desired). The landscapes are really beautiful.

Very fun experience! Highly recommend this tour. When you get up there, you can’t even see the line between sky and snow, it was all white. Very unique experience! My dad is 70 years old, and he loved it!
