This tour is an excellent alternative to Tortuga Island to avoid the crowds and is a great short and sweet day trip perfect for families with children, couples, and singles. Join us on a very unique and exclusive catamaran day trip (4.5 hours) to Playa Fantasia. Our day trip departs at 11 am from Playa Herradura cruising 40 minutes up the Gulf of Nicoya to a secluded beach. Playa Fantasia is a beach, accessible only by water, a beach with sprawling jungle, reef formations, white sand and turquoise waters. Untouched and full of marine and wildlife such as Monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, Turtles, and of course, all our rescued animals. Included, you will have a beautiful fresh lunch cooked by our private chef at Playa Fantasia as well as a bar of fresh Pina Coladas, margaritas, mojitos, beer, soda and water. Fresh fruits served throughout the entire tour. At Playa Fantasia, you have access to boogie boards, paddleboards, surfboard, snorkel gear (unguided) hammocks and beach loungers.

Accessible only by sea, hidden between two mountain ranges in secondary forest and protected by two volcanic reefs, the wild jungle flows down on the untouched white sand and turquoise waters. The beach is overflowing with scarlet Macaos, monkeys, sloths and Costa Rican unique trees and flowers. Playa Fantasia is the perfect place in harmony with nature for our guests to enjoy on one of our tours from Jaco. Ideal for families, companies, weddings and those that seek privacy and exclusivity.
We are a catamaran company based in Jaco, Costa Rica. We serve all surrounding areas including Los Suenos Marriot Hotel, Punta Leona, Playa Hermosa, Esterillos, and Villa Calletas.

- There is plenty of shaded areas on board, please prepare to spend majority of your tour in direct or indirect sunlight. For safety reasons spray sunscreens are not permitted.
- Our cruise is not a booze cruise, if you are looking for a booze cruise, you will be disappointed
- Our crew reserves the right to refuse entry to passengers who are intoxicated, without refund. Our crew also reserves the right to stop serving alcohol if it affects the safety of passengers.
- We board the large catamaran from small tenders from the beach. Long dresses, and pants are not recommended.
- Snorkel equipment is available, snorkelling is not guided.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- You will be notified by a representative of your pickup time, our transportation will only wait 5 minutes at each stop before moving to the next stop. If you miss your transportation time, your tour will be cancelled without refund.
- Banana boat rides can be requested by message before the tour. USD 20.00 per person
- ID is necessary to use all snorkel equipment, paddle boards and boogie boards.
- If you are in Jaco in our Winter time (May 15th - December 15th) the chances for good snorkeling are 50/50, since it is the rainy season all depends on good weather and good ocean conditions. and it is not under our control, however we offer other activities like boogie boards, surf boards, SUP Paddle boards, as well as Soccer and Beach Volleyball on our tours in order to entertain and give our clients an unforgettable experience.

Sealounge Cataraman owes me nothing . Talk about fun in the sun and on water - whew words cannot explain the experience. Luis and the crew treated us like queens from time we left the shore, arrived at the private beach till we arrived back was nothing short of AMAZING !!! The welcome drinks upon getting on the boat and the beach meal were delicious!! We listened to music and danced the afternoon away- thew crew even joined us in a line dance or two.💃🏿 🎶 The entire group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have talked about the experience the rest of the weekend. Our group of fun, professional ladies attended a Women’s Retreat, and this catamaran excursion was the cherry on top of an already amazing trip. The crew treated us like royalty from the moment we arrived. They served delicious appetizers on the island as soon as we stepped off the boat, and the drinks were flowing all day — truly on demand. Louis, the leader of the crew, was perfection. Professional, attentive, confident… and yes, very handsome. He made the whole experience feel smooth, safe, and full of good vibes. Lunch was a whole moment by itself. The crew grilled everything fresh and served it on a long, beautifully set table right on the beach. The presentation was gorgeous, the food was flavorful, and eating together with the ocean right beside us felt magical. We laughed, relaxed, bonded, and made memories we’ll be smiling about for a long time. If you’re thinking about booking this catamaran tour — do it. It was the highlight of our retreat, and we’d absolutely go again.

This entire experience is one that I could do EVERY YEAR. The staff, boat, food, and whole thing was one of the best water based activities and excursions ever. The fees were fair, upfront, and transparent for the amount of time that we had. We had about 16 people on our trip and the food, music, and drinks for flowing for an atmosphere that allowed us to relax or turn up! This is best for large groups of grown ups and people who want the option of lounging or doing water activities.

This tour was amazing way to spend my birthday! The crew was very knowledgeable and fun. We learned a lot of history while we're in the catamaran and island. One of my finest catamaran experiences. First because there were only nine of us, we were alone on a beautiful island. That the staff was very careful from start to finish. During the snorkneling we were accompanied in the water to show us where there were fish. The meal was delicious and the drink all kinds unlimited. I really wish it had been longer, at least two more hours on the island. Thank you to the whole team for this great experience.

This was an absolute amazing experience we left for the catamaran at 8:30 and returned around 1:30. A group of about 15 of us got to experience the beautiful island of playa fantasia to ourselves! They made us cocktails and lunch which were absolutely delicious and was included with the purchase of our tickets. We got to snorkel , banana boat, and relax on the island. I would definitely comeback to do this again. The staff were super kind and made the experience amazing!!

I highly recommend the Sealounge Catamaran tour—the quality is truly excellent in every way! The catamaran is spotless, the food and drinks are fantastic, and the crew provides top-tier service. Playa Fantasía is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Central Pacific. With its white sand and calm waves, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the water peacefully. My kids had a blast on the banana boat and using the boogie boards, SUPs, and snorkeling gear provided for guests. On the beach, you’ll find everything you need—from loungers and hammocks to beach balls—making it ideal for quality time with family or friends. You only need to bring your sunglasses, swimsuit, and sunscreen. Sealounge provides drinks and fresh fruit from the moment you board until you’re back at the bay!
