Our guide was amazing! He was kind, respectful, patient, knowledgeable and took his time with my teenagers. I had no concerns for safety and felt comfortable trusting my children with the guide as I stood in the beach. They provide the snorkeling gear. Come prepared to have a wonderful time.
Amazing experience, our tour guide was great, helpful, and friendly. Also $116 and we were able to use the gear from 10-4pm!!!

Kids review: Josh was very nice. He let me hold a lot of fish. He led to a lot of great places in the ocean. He helped my brother with his snorkel mask when he needed it. He knew a lot of fish. He was very, very, very nice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇵🇷 Parents review: The whole team at Pirate Snorkel Shack was great. This was an introductory tour for those who have never snorkeled. It was very informative for our beginner children. It was an excellent way to safely introduce the basics of snorkeling. We saw some coral and beautiful bright fish. Our guide was there to not only help with equipment but to point out species of wildlife. Highly recommend for first time snorkelers and especially children.

Our experience was absolutely perfect. I brought our two kids (12 and 15). Josh was our snorkeling leader and he was professional, friendly, and made us all really comfortable. Once he gave the lesson, Josh led us to two beautiful reefs, where he pointed out different kinds of fish, a variety of corals, and even an eel and barracuda (don’t worry, it was far away and we felt 100% comfortable). We all highly recommend this experience.

We are a couple in our early 70s . We are experienced swimmers but had never snorkeled. Our teacher, Josh, clearly and patiently conveyed the basics to us. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer instructor. We were even able to see some coral, fish and even an octopus, despite the fact that the water was somewhat murky from recent rains.

While the instructor and equipments were fine, it wasn’t a learning experience as advertised. It was a regular snorkeling experience in open waters while we were looking for more learning experience to help us get comfortable. However, this is a good tour for someone who is looking to snorkeling and not a learning lesson.

As described in our listing, this experience starts on the beach with a quick snorkeling lesson, where guests learn how to use the mask and breathe underwater. After this initial lesson, the experience continues into crystal-clear open water to explore a nearby reef, with guided instruction provided throughout. Participation in snorkeling requires entering the water, as this is a hands-on activity rather than a classroom-only lesson. Upon arrival, the guests expressed concern about ocean conditions and stated they were not comfortable proceeding beyond 2–3 feet of water due to fear. They were informed that the reef portion of the experience takes place in deeper water, as outlined in the tour description, and that life vests are provided and required. Alternative accommodations were discussed, including remaining on shore while the rest of the small group continued to the nearby reef, since the experience could not be modified for the entire group. The guests agreed to this option. Our guide provided the on-beach lesson, assistance, and reassurance, and repeatedly asked if further help was needed. The guest declined additional assistance and confirmed it was acceptable for the group to proceed. The remainder of the group, including first-time snorkelers, successfully explored the reef and reported a positive experience. While we respect that this experience may not be suitable for guests who are uncomfortable entering open water, the tour was delivered as described in the listing, including the beach lesson, guided instruction, and reef exploration.
We were able to see 3 different reef areas with tons of fish. Our guides were helpful, made sure to check in with us regularly and made this a very positive experience. The water was pretty calm which is good for people who might tend to get motion sickness. Afterward they had water and a variety of snacks. There was plenty of parking at the Seven Seas Beach parling lot, which was about an 8 minute walk from the meeting area. Definitely recommend this experience.

Where do I start? I took my 12 yr old and my 6yr old. To be honest I had a little bit of anxiety on how we were going to get thru it. But Luis and Josh were super supportive and patient and made sure we felt comfortable the whole way thru. I was impressed with the attention to detail on safety as they made certain that our equipment fit us just right and was worn correctly. Going out into the water was slow for us with a 6yr old, but , Josh and Luis were patient moving at our comfortable pace. Once out there, my 6yr old got the hang of it and was able to explore freely. My 12yr old loved every second as well. There were times out in the water where I was paying so much close attention to my boys that I didn’t even see where Luis and Josh were but every now and again I could hear Luis telling me in Spanish that we were doing great and that he was right behind and to not worry. I cannot speak enough on how professional and comforting these guys were and I’m so happy we did it because my boys could not stop talking about the Sting Ray, fish, jelly fish and King and Queen Conch they were able to see up close. I highly recommend and we will be revisiting these guys when we come back!

Nice first experience snorkeling, guide was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun, I thought the water was going to be crystal clear but we were still able see schools of fish and different fishes, along with a stingray!
