It was fun exploring around Jogja both on foot and in pedcak while eating along the way. There was a good variety of food, all of which were amazing. Kalika our guide did a great job guiding us through the city and different dishes.
The best food tour I’ve done! Kalika was an amazing guide and we feel so lucky to have experienced Yogyakarta with her! She was so knowledgeable and shared lots of pearls about Jogja that we would have never known without her. She definitely made us fall in love with the city! Kalika went above and beyond ensuring our food was hygienic and safe - she brought clean utensils and napkins for us and always checked our food to make sure it looked good! Kalika taught us so much, taught us games, and made sure we enjoyed all of the food stops. This tour went above and beyond - this is your sign to book!
This was a tour introducing us to a wide variety of interesting and tasty street food. Our guide was informative and really friendly with great English. Make sure you are hungry as there is lots of food. I highly recommend this tour.
We had the best time and Dhea was the best with my three teens. We learned so much!! Even after having lived in Yogya!
We very much enjoyed eating our way Yogyakarta. Kalika arranged a fantastic experience of a variety of local foods from snacks to drinks to main meals. She also arranged the local bacek as our transport, which made the tour extra special.
We really enjoyed this food tour. We experienced a great variety of local foods, from drinks and snacks to main dishes local to Yogyakarta. The tour was more than just a walking food tour. Kalika engaged Bajaj (like a tuk tuk) to transport us from location to location, as well as providing us with lots of knowledge about culture, tradition and city history. Highly recommend.
Kalika is a lovely guide and she gave us the best foodtour of Yogya! She brought us to a lot of different spots in the city and explained things about the culture and the food. We tried so many different things and they were all delicious! We also took local transport that she had arranged for us beforehand. Would definitely recommended this tour if you’re visiting Yogya, we had a great time!
What a fantastic evening in Yogyakarta with Anisa! Not only did we try some delicious local Indonesian food, but we also got to learn more about the city and Indonesian culture. Anisa was professional, friendly and her English was excellent. I’d highly recommend taking this tour with Anisa if you want a fun filled evening and to sample some of the local cuisine!
Wow! This tour really delivered! So much food that was all so tasty! Zipping around in the Tuktuk was so fun as well. Tony our guide was the best! Hard to imagine a tour much better than this! We did the evening tour and the lower temperatures and the way Bangkok lights up at night was an extra bonus!
Wow - just wow - what a wonderful experience! First Kalika was an amazing host - so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about food, where it comes from, her city and its history. Now the food! Every stall and place Kalika took us was delicious and we were able to try many different foods, drinks (coffee anyone). Plus she also introduced us to 2nd and 3rd generation families carrying on their families food traditions. We did consider other companies for our food tour but in drilling down - their focus was just on the walking tourist area which is no fun. Kalika took us to several local spots outside of the tourist areas which makes this tour all the more magical! The food everywhere was just amazing and we’ve already gone back for seconds on our own since. As frequent international travelers - and we always take food tours - this was by far the best and most authentic we have taken. Many thanks Kalika - what a wonderful introduction to Yogyakarta’s food delights!
