Itinerary
Karnak Temple is the largest temple complex in Egypt and one of the most important religious centers of ancient times. Over more than 2,000 years it was expanded by numerous pharaohs and was dedicated primarily to the god Amun-Re. Particularly impressive is the Great Column Hall with its enormous, richly decorated columns as well as the monumental obelisks and statues. The Karnak Temple gives a unique impression of the power and religious life of ancient Egypt and is one of the most important sights in Luxor.
Traditional lunch at an oriental restaurant (approx. 1.5 hours). Enjoy lunch at a local oriental restaurant .
The Valley of the Kings is one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt and is located on the western bank of the Nile near Luxor. For many centuries it served as the burial place of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including famous rulers such as Ramses II and Tutankhamun. In the elaborately designed tombs, colorful murals and hieroglyphics impress, depicting religious texts, afterlife and scenes from the life of the pharaohs. The well-preserved burial chambers provide a fascinating insight into burial rituals and belief in life after death in ancient Egypt. A visit to the Valley of the Kings is an unforgettable experience and an absolute highlight of any Luxor trip.
The Hatshepsut Temple in Deir el-Bahari is one of the most architecturally exceptional temple complexes of ancient Egypt. It was built in honor of the pharaoh Hatshepsut, one of the few female rulers of Egypt. The terrace temple nestles harmoniously against the rock face of the Theban mountains and impresses with its clear symmetry and monumental columnar halls. Relief depictions tell of religious rituals, the famous expedition to Punt, and the Queen's life. The temple offers a fascinating insight into the history, power and architecture of the New Kingdom and is a highlight of any Luxor visit.

Simply dreamy! Everything as described. We visited the Karnak Temple and the Hatshepsut Temple. We enjoyed a meal in a beautiful restaurant right by the Nile, where there was truly delicious buffet food. We took a boat ride on the Nile, saw the Colossi of Memnon, and then took a bus to the Valley of the Kings to see the impressive and beautiful tombs of Ramses the Fourth and others. As well as the tomb of Tutankhamun with the mummy. I got a sunburn there, but that's my own fault because I forgot my cream at the hotel :D There were plenty of chilled drinks for everyone on the bus, so I didn't even have to touch my water that I brought just in case. We also visited a shop where souvenirs made of real alabaster stone are sold, and you can clearly see the very good quality and the difference between their souvenirs and the junk that is sold everywhere else on the street. The shop also includes a mini-museum with ancient items. And the tour guide Aladin was super amusing, entertaining, and very friendly. He could tell us a lot about the stories and always took plenty of time for us, even to take pictures of me with my phone. This trip to Luxor was amazing. Beautiful. Simply wonderfully delightful. I can recommend this to anyone who is truly passionate about the stories and not just wants to gawk so they can say they have been there.

We experienced a wonderful trip to Luxor with Famco Tours. The tour guide was very friendly, professional and informative. The sights visited were impressive and well organized. The whole day was very nice and pleasant. We felt safe and can recommend this tour to anyone.
Our trip from Hurghada to Luxor was absolutely amazing! 🤍✨ The journey itself was comfortable and full of beautiful desert views, but Luxor… it’s truly something else. We visited incredible historical places, saw the greatness of ancient Egypt, and felt like we stepped back in time. The temples and monuments were breathtaking, especially with the stories behind them. Everything was well organized, and the day was full of unforgettable moments. Definitely one of the best trips ever! 🇪🇬 Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hurghada!
Avoid this company, Luxor temple did not happen. Even though it was part of the itinerary. Additional tickets purchased with booking for admission to Tutankhamen. The company initially disputed this and there were multiple message exchanges interrupting the group trip. Mixed messages given to myself and the tour guide who eventually brought our tickets herself after seeing our confirmation. It is still unclear why these were not with everyone else’s who paid prior. Tour guide stated our names were not on the list provided to her for Tutankhamen entry. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. But Famco tours are scammers. They refused a partial refund request and state all areas were explored. This was not the case and the tour guide was following instructions from the company. Famco tours were very rude when the above was highlighted. They need training on customer service.
We would like to clarify that your request for a partial refund was declined because the main program of the tour was carried out as agreed. All scheduled visits were completed according to the operational plan, and the guide was following the confirmed itinerary provided by the company. Regarding the Tutankhamun tickets, we understand there was some confusion on-site, but this was resolved during the tour, and access was successfully provided. We also note your kind words about the guide, and we appreciate that acknowledgment. At the same time, we regret that you felt dissatisfied with certain aspects of the experience, but we cannot agree with the claim that services were not delivered. Furthermore, declining a partial refund does not justify stating or publishing claims that did not occur. We kindly ask that feedback reflects the actual experience accurately. We always aim to provide a high level of service and take feedback seriously, but in this case, we must stand by the fact that the tour was delivered. Kind regards, Famco tours
Tour organized to perfection by Hurghada. Travelling in a small group really makes a difference in comfort and attention to detail. Special praise to our guide, Karam: his knowledge of Egyptian history is incredible and he was able to turn the visit to the Valley of the Kings and Karnak into a fascinating story. In addition to culture, we loved the boat ride: sailing on the Nile waters is a moment of pure relaxation that allows you to admire the landscape from a unique perspective. I can't help mentioning the drivers: driving for so many hours between Hurghada and Luxor is not easy, but we always felt safe. They were punctual, prudent and very professional, making the long journey extremely enjoyable. Impeccable organization and great local lunch. If you are looking for quality and expertise, this is the right tour. Ask for Karam, it's a guarantee!
Very nice trip. Be sure to take the private tour. You don't have to wait for anyone and have just as much time for the sightseeing as you want. With German tour guide in good communication. We were super satisfied. Thanks a lot!
It was a very great, interesting but very hot day. Abdul, our guide has brought the story very great closer to us . We booked an upgrade for this trip, so we were driven there alone and also quickly came to all sights. What topped it all was that we saw the King of Spain in the Valley of the Kings. Abdul took a little time with us for that. All in all, a successful day.
thanks
We had a very good experience , the guide accompanied us and gave very interesting information, both drivers were excellent. We would recommend the event.
Ashraf is very knowledgeable and wants to make your tour special and memorable. He looked after us at all times and helped guide us around culture and the temples. Ashraf is a great human who will go out of his way to make your experience wonderful.
