Small Group Schindler Factory and Ghetto Visit with Guide

Description
Our 3-hour tour with a licensed guide of Schindler's Factory and the former Jewish ghetto site provides a splendid occasion to discover the Kraków 2WW history. The tour starts with a visit to Schindler's Factory, the most visited museum in Kraków. While visiting the permanent exhibition we shall become comprehensively acquainted with the history of the war-time German occupation of Kraków. The exhibition brings us up to date with the fate of Poles, Germans, and Jews in occupied Kraków – from the outbreak of war to the questionable "liberation" of the city by the Red Army in January 1945. Equipped with the knowledge acquired at the museum, we will set out for the former Ghetto. The locations and historical events discussed in the museum will be shown by our guide in the authentic surroundings in which they took place. Visiting the "Emalia" Factory and the ghetto in one tour allows you to fully grasp and understand the complicated fate of Kraków and its inhabitants during 2WW.

Tomasz is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about WWII history, Poland, and local culture. We were deeply impacted by the stories he shared, not only about the horrors that occurred at Auschwitz but also regarding the courage, tenacity, and dignity of the Polish people over the centuries. He speaks English beautifully— his tour is a master class on the history of Krakow!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I'm very glad that you found the tour meaningful and that I could share not only the difficult history of 2WW, but also some of the broader story of Poland. It was a pleasure having you with me!
Joanna was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The small group was great as it was just the 4 of us. Schindler Factory is must see sight when in Krakow.
Thank you very much for your kind review! 😊 I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the small-group experience and that Joanna made the tour so engaging for you. I’ll be sure to pass your lovely feedback on to her. Thank you again for joining us!
Very interesting, educational and historical tour booked through Get your Guide of over 3 hours. Guide Joanna told the story in a fascinating way and showed a lot. More than worth it.
Thank you very much for your positive review!
My son and I did this while visiting Krakow and it was AMAZING! Aga was a fantastic guide and the tour was one of our highlights of our trip. TIP-- do this on the front end of your visit to Krakow, so you can understand the occupation of Krakow by the Nazis while you are in the city. Also, you must watch the movie Schindler's List before you come to Krakow and before taking this tour.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really happy to hear that the tour was one of the highlights of your trip 😊 Aga will be delighted to read this - I’ll make sure to pass your message on to her. And that’s a great tip about doing the tour at the beginning of your stay - it really does give a deeper context to everything you see later in Kraków. Thank you again for joining us, and I hope you and your son had a wonderful time in Poland!
Super interesting and absolutely worth seeing with a guide—especially with Thomas! The museum focuses on the days leading up to and following the Occupation of Poland. The exhibit is highly interactive, with well-organized artifacts and photographs from the period. Our guide Thomas masterfully brought those days to life through his storytelling—he contextualized the entire era and was truly superb! The museum can be visited independently, but it’s nothing compared to the guided tour with Best Krakow Walks—highly recommended!
Thank you very much for your great review. I’m really glad the visit to the museum made such an impact - it’s an important and emotional part of Krakow’s history, and I’m happy the stories and context helped bring those days to life for you. Thank you again for choosing Best Krakow Walks!
