Explore the bustling district of Jongno-gu and visit four different food stalls and restaurants, as well as a traditional village, to try a variety of Korean dishes like Korean pork barbecue and mixed Soju bomb drinks, and enjoy savory, crispy mungbean pancakes paired with traditional rice wine at an authentic Korean old school bar. Along the way, you’ll discover hidden gems beloved by locals and well off the beaten tourist path. - This small-group tour operates with a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 10.
- If the tour does not reach the minimum number of passengers, it may be canceled after confirmation. In such cases, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. If only two passengers are booked and you still wish to proceed as scheduled, an additional fee for a third passenger may be requested.
- A moderate amount of walking is involved; comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour is free for children aged 5 and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Restaurants are child-friendly and offer non-alcoholic beverages such as soda and juice.

Chris was awesome! Anyone coming to Seoul for the first time should book this tour! Chris was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. He kept the group engaged and made sure we were having a great time. We ate Mandu(fried dumplings) at a stall in Insadong, Korean BBQ, traditional pancakes and live octopus(i didn’t try it but some in the group did). There was no pressure to try it. We also stopped by cafe in Ikseon-dong and had Bingsu(shaved ice cream) All the food was delicious! I went back the next day for more Mandu and Ice cream! Thank you Chris for showing me where the good food is!

You will doing lots of walking. It's an easy pace, but more walking than expected. Bring a jacket for the evening breeze. Chris was phenomenal!!! He gave great recommendations and took us to the cutest areas.
Want a fun evening with Chris exploring where the locals go for great food in Seoul. Eating live octopus for the first time was a cool experience although not everyone in the group tried it and the shave ice dessert was so good we went back the next night for more.
I spent time researching and am so glad I came across Ongo Food tours - we loved the tour with Chris. He was informative, attentive, looked after us and we enjoyed lots of superb Korean food with him. Great experience and you get to sit and eat in many of the locations joining in with the locals and skipping the queue at the BBQ restaurant was a win! Must do experience.
Chris was an amazing guide, he made the tour very memorable and was attuned to everyone’s needs to make sure they had a memorable evening. There was plenty of yummy food to try, don’t eat too much before you go. We highly recommend this food tour.
This tour exceeded my expectations. As a chef for almost 30 years I will eat most things, but that doesn’t mean they tasted good. So with all the choices and a language barrier where do you get the food that you will remember forever? Chris our tour guide knew all the best spots and it felt like hanging out with good friend and eating fantastic dishes. The alleyways we walked down were exciting and vibrant with good energy and a welcoming Korean community. My wife and I would never have thought of or found these “hidden gems”. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED AND WHY WE CAME TO SEOUL!! Worth every dollar and the some. THANK YOU CHRIS!!!!
Fantastic trip through food experience and excellent guide.
Chris was a great guide, keeping our spirits up even in a freezing cold evening. We loved that the tour included food that we didn’t expect, giving us a taste of things we’d never seen or heard of before. 10/10 would recommend, especially if your guide is Chris.
The entire experience was terrific!! Our host, Chris, was friendly and engaged each of us in personal conversations throughout the evening to learn more about our interests and vacations. The locations he guided us to all had a cool vibe and, of course, the food was fantastic!!! Being with a small group, there were lots of fun conversations. Overall, it was an experience I loved and would definitely repeat when I return to South Korea.
