Diffferent schedules: morning tour & sunset tour; Much more tranquil and less crowded than Badaling Great Wall, Jinshanling is both magnificent and tranquil. Get away from the crowds when you enjoy the tranquility at Jinshanling Great Wall. Observe the natural beauty of the landscape and the architectural marvels of the 13th century's Great Wall during your trip, which takes approximately three hours to complete, including round-trip transportation from Beijing, entrance fees. Unguided self-hiking will enable you to have all the time by yourself. Not obliged to catch up with a big tour group or being forced to enter some shops.

Two different schedules to choose: morning tour & sunset tour. Pick-up from exit C of subway station Dong Zhi Men of Line 2. Morning tour pick-up time: 08:00 a.m., return to the city at around 17:00-17:30; Sunset tour pick-up time: 11:00-13:30; return to the city at around 20:00-21:30 (in different seasons) After th pick-up, you'd head for Jinshanling Great Wall directly. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to get there. Main gate entrance ticket is included in the tour. Your driver will explain to you where to start hiking and where to end and meet again. You'll have 3 hours staying on the Great Wall, please make sure to bring some food and drink and you can eat on the Great Wall when you take a break. The SUNSET tour ends after the sunset. Usually the hike starts from EAST FIVE WINDOW TOWER and ends at BRICK CRENEL, hiking for about 6km. The hiking is a little bit strenuous, but not extremely difficult. Usually it costs around 3 hours. The tour ends at middle gate in both options.

The sunset tour to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall was amazing. There were very few tourists on the wall which made the experience even better. Our tour guide Jackie was really nice. He even gave us a certificate at the end. Would definitely do it again!
Absolutely organized, professional and an unforgettable experience. The arrangements were very careful, but they also leave you with lots of independence to do the tour at your own pace
The excursion was fabulous. You spend four hours walking on the Great Wall amidst the mountains and taking a ton of photos. Everything is very scenic and spectacular, especially when the sunset arrives. However, the guide should interact more with the clients. I contacted her several times on WhatsApp but she was not responding. And what if there was some urgency??
It was an incredible experience. The weather was cloudy, so there was no beautiful sunset but it was perfect to hike and I was for many parts of the wall all on my own. Some parts of the wall aren‘t restored here which makes it even more special. Also, Jackie was a great driver who speaks very good English!
Jackie was really kind, the driving was smooth and efficient! We were almost alone during the entire hike, we saw about 20 tourists total (perfect for pictures) The itinerary was perfect and we really felt like it was authentic! Jackie was waiting for us at the meet-up location for the sunset and we were the only person there!
Jackie explained everything in advance and everything went smoothly. Steep climb to top as expected, then a lovely sunset. Take sunscreen and food (lots of sun and did not get back to hotel until 11pm).

An unforgettable experience, truly
Our trip to Jinshanling was fantastic. Our guide took us to a less traveled route where we got to climb the unrestored part of the wall without a lot of other tourists. He clearly explained the route we needed to take and the ride to and from the wall was comfortable.
