The Explorer Route is a 2.5-hour introduction to Via Ferrata and a great way to test out this adrenaline-packed alpine activity. Climb pitches, and cross the course’s picturesque suspension bridge. The Norquay Via Ferrrate tour is an incredible adventure, well worth taking a day to do. The provider prioritizes safety and providing a life time experience. The guides are highly skilled and certified and ensure all guest have a safe and memorable experience. We did the Ridgewalk tour with Luke as our guide and the experience and views were incredible. Thank you adventure@mtnnorquay for a wonderful bucket list event
This was an incredible experience for my son and I. Beautiful views and a great guide. I highly recommend it.
Amazing challenge and amazing reward, Dylan was exceptionally patient with some old folks. The views were incredible as was the pride we felt in getting back down the mountain!
Our experience on the Via Ferrata was so wonderful! Greg was our guide and he was super relaxed and such a strong coach. I got pretty nervous in a couple spots and he was so patient and helpful and explained exactly how to move on and surpass the challenge. I would highly recommend the Explorer Route to anybody who is trying it for the first time and a little nervous and Greg is a great guide especially for us newbies. I would very much like to return for a harder/longer trail. Don’t worry about pace or rushing, they take great care of you!
Can't speak highly enough of this experience - our guide, Aji, was so thorough and patient with us. He really prioritized safety. Beautiful views. For others thinking of going, my only caution would be that if you do not hike or walk much, this may be a challenge. My mom does not - she struggled to maintain a steady pace throughout and she will be sore for sure 😆
This experience should never have been sold to us!! The salespeople told us — a couple in good shape, 62 and 64– that we would have no trouble doing this trip. But the basic level was too difficult and we bagged it— but of course they had sold us the nonrefundable tickets. We have hiked and climbed many mountains in the Alps. Also the group before us— which was the hardest trip — got stuck in a thunder / lightning storm which they were already talking about at the bottom of the lift.
We had the pleasure of having Dan as our guide. He was very patient and made our experience so pleasant and unforgettable. We ended up having just the two of us in the group and it really felt like VIP. I can’t wait for other Via Ferrata experiences in the near future thanks to Dan.
The hike/climb was so fun but still challenging, Amazing views and our tour guide Ben was awesome. Would do again, this time the longer one!
This was an amazing experience! I was definitely nervous but our guide, Amanda, was great! Awesome views and a must do for an unique experience!
Being up in age I was not sure of what this climb would be like. After an important review of clipping on an off cable and using the “staples” and rungs secured into the mountain we went 10 minutes to be halted by lightning reports. After a pleasant 30 minute delay inside the restaurant we started over on the climb. The guide was excellent, he walked us (group of 4 climbers) through the climb with timely tips and instructions on what was a lifetime adventure. The online picture showing a section of the climb is spot on. I can say this is a bucket list accomplishment.
