Itinerary
During our sunset experience, we embark from Puerto Calero with a small group of maximum 12 guests on board. As you relax on our spacious 108 m2 deck, you'll have the opportunity to witness one of the most stunning sunsets on the island while indulging in an "OceanBeer," a local white wine, or non-alcoholic alternatives, along with some delicious snacks. Our knowledgeable crew will provide fascinating insights into cetaceans, the various species found in the Canary Islands. With a stroke of luck, we may even encounter dolphins in a special area where they typically gather for their evening meal. The sunset tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and is available year-round. Departing from Puerto Calero, specifically Dock F22, we will cruise along the coast, offering picturesque views of notable sites like Playa Quemada and the majestic mountains of Femés.

Superb boat ride respectful of animals, with the bonus of seeing dolphins and a whale!
Would have enjoyed the trip, even without seeing the wildlife. We were very lucky and saw dolphins, a whale and even a shark. Loads of space on the catamaran gave everyone plenty of space, not cramped at all, unlike the other boats we saw. Didn't need a jacket, but easy storage for backpack with jacket was very useful. Our hosts were excellent, thank you 😊
Unbelievable, myself and my fiance (Leon and Abbey) decided to book an excursion on our final night with WeWhale. From the start Gonzalo and his team couldn’t have been more clear/helpful regarding the activity with meet times and locations. When arriving at the boat they were extremely welcoming, gave us a great briefing of the trip and explained that ours and the animal welfare is priority, and they can’t guarantee any sightings - this set our expectations and made us feel at ease straight away. As we left the port he made us feel involved by showing us what signs to look for when spotting dolphins/whales and also sharing his personal binoculars with us and other participants, rather than it being a boring sail around a body of water, this made us feel part of the team. We were fortunate enough on our trip to see the dolphins, with our encounter he was incredibly respectful towards the group of dolphins and seeing his and his crews passion for the mammals emphasised we’d booked with the right team. He spent plenty of time educating us on the marine life and his past experiences (showing photos/videos/research)… I could spend hours talking about our experience and how amazing it was, but I think it would be best for you to experience this yourself at a bargain of a price. Thank you again Gonzalo and the team, we admire your dedication and passion. This truly topped of our holiday.
Amazing experience, seeing Dolphins in the Atlantic, Gonzalaz and Sylvia were very informative and brilliant hosts. I recommend no alcohol on this trip,as seriously it is not needed.
Lovely trip - even though we saw no whales and dolphins. A little disappointing but the views, experience, and the lovely crew still made it a great tour. Thank you
Very disappointed. Cruise of 1h30 including 30 minutes stop for swimming. No marine animals were seen at all, and instead of continuing to look for them, the captain planted the boat in the middle of nowhere and waited for the regulation 30 minutes when no one wanted to go into the water (too cold). Back to port, landing. 105 euros thrown out the window.
Found Wewhale website before we arrived, and because of mobility issues asked them if they could accommodate a wheelchair, they replied that it would not be a problem, they were true to their word, they assisted us on board and made space so that my wife was sat in her wheelchair safely. I also chose Wewhale because of their commitment to the environment, they only take small parties out (maximum of 12) and theirs is an electric powered Catamaran. The crew Gonzalo and Silvia were so passionate about their work and they took time out to make sure everyone on board was comfortable and explained about what they want to achieve, what kind of whales and dolphins visit the area. Highlight of the day having a Pod of Dolphins swim along side of the Catamaran
Gonzalo and the wonderful crew made this a trip of lifetime for my mother who had never seen dolphins before. The company prioritise marine ecology and with the silent electric powered catamaran we peacefully followed a pod of spotted Dolphin until they decided to give us a marvelous display next to the catamaran. Would highly recommend this trip.
Very nice chill boat tour with small group. We even saw dolphins and a whale. Crew consisted of a friendly man and woman. Fluent in Spanish, French and English
Everything from pick up from hotel till the end was good. We got glass of drink, you can choose alcohol or non alcohol. When we were more distant from coast line, one member of crew saw dolphin, and more and more they are coming closer and swimming slowly. So we can filming and making pictures, it was great experience. Sunset is not clear we can seen, because we are going back and sun was kind go down but slow, and when we was back by boats deck , sunset is was beautiful. Thank you crew team for this experience. Definitely I recommend to go.
