Small Group Banff Skyline Via Ferrata 5-hour Tour

Description
As a Canadian Signature Experience, Norquay's Via Ferrata is a must-do activity when visiting Banff National Park. Our highly qualified ACMG-certified guides will lead you up the cliffs of Mt Norquay that hang above the Bow Valley, overlooking the town of Banff. Steel handholds, ladders, and footsteps as well as a steel safety cable are secured to the rock wall providing assistance and safety. Climbers are safely secured to the safety cable while climbing. The Skyline Route is a 4.5 to 5-hour Via Ferrata tour that includes an exciting high traverse on a sheer rock wall and crosses an “airy” 55m suspension bridge. Your effort is amply rewarded at the top, with outstanding panoramic views where the Rocky Mountains stretch out in every direction. Although no prior climbing experience is necessary, guests should be fit enough to climb multiple ladders, and be comfortable spending four to five hours hiking in mountainous terrain.

Our guide, Alex, was amazing! He was knowledgeable, encouraging, patient (with this one who is afraid of heights) and fun! The views were amazing! Woolf highly recommend.
The views were beautiful and the experience was safe but exciting. Greg, our guide, was awesome. He made the entire experience fun and comfortable. He was a delight to be around. Kevin on the other hand, was a buzzkill he robbed us of some joy. Greg was as good as they come though.
Literally the coolest thing I've ever done. Not for those scared of heights. This is the next to longest and doesn't quite go all the way to the top of the mountain.
I expected this to be an adventurous tour and it met my expectations with that. The guide was great. His name is Greg and he was super helpful for the entire group. This was an absolute highlight for our trip to Banff.
We really enjoyed this experience! Our Guide was Zach, and he could not have been better. Great attitude, helpful, hints, and a wealth of local information. Russ, this was the perfect distance. A little longer than the two hour one, but not a full day experience. Just right.
We did the 5 hour Skyline tour which was worth every dollar. Kyle our guide was great and paced the whole day perfectly. He was incredibly focused on everyone’s safety but also managed to be fun, relaxed, reassuring and informative all the way round. The 5 hours flew by and despite mixed abilities in our group (I was the slowest going down) I would recommend this trip to anyone in reasonable shape. My wife is not always great with heights but Kyle talked her through the whole thing and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. Really friendly team on the mountain and in the station at the bottom. Great day out.
I don’t know what else to say except… this was by far the coolest thing I have ever done in my life. My wife and I did the Skyline route and I can’t describe how glad we are that we decided to splurge and do this! We were celebrating my wife’s 30th birthday. She wanted to do something challenging, but we hardly noticed we were working because of the incredible views, awesome guide (Brandon) and the route was just AMAZING! The ladder, the cable, the bridge, etc… it was something we’ll never forget.
We did the Skyline Via Ferrata with Juan and it was such a good time. Juan is super experienced (despite all the jokes otherwise) and really talks you through certain sections so that you’re comfortable. His knowledge of the local area and his terrible dad jokes made it a great day.
My wife, 3 teenage kids, and I had one of the most amazing travel experiences we ever had on the Ridgeline via Ferrata tour with our tour guide BEN. He showed us on a practice wall everything we needed to do well and be safe on our climb today. I am a big safety junkie while my wife is a big adrenaline junkie, and our experience climbing today made both off us happy. Well saw breathtaking views as we climbed the via Ferrata. Ben told us about the history of via Ferrata and how it’s a relatively new thing in North America, as compared to Europe where it was created. We are lucky to have this course here at Banf, and I would love to try a course in Europe now. The weather had a little bit of rain today but Ben our tour guide kept a close eye on the weather, and appeared ready for any situation. Ben was also super kind to my 3 kids talking to all of them, to encourage and support them throughout the entire climb. My teenagers had a great time as a result.
My partner and I had an amazing experience at the Via Ferrata. We did the Skyline tour with Alexis as our guide. We should have picked an easier Via Ferrata tour option, but Alexis was so professional, capable, and encouraging, we successfully finished the experience. I won't lie-- the Via Ferrata was hard. It was physically hard because we were hiking and climbing at altitude, and mentally hard because looking out 9000 feet was terrifying! But the views were one-in-a-million, and the feeling of accomplishment was intoxicating!
