My family of three just completed this walking tour and it was incredible. We learned so much about the Alfama section of Lisbon, and thanks to an extremely knowledgeable and friendly tour guide (Rui), we were able to meander comfortably through the narrow and often hilly streets with ease. We saw so much of this unique section of the city, and would not have been able to accomplish this on our own. Loved our tour guide Rui and highly impressed with his knowledge base and his willingness to discuss all of our questions. Would highly recommend this to anyone in order to learn about such a historic section of Lisbon. Can’t say enough about the intellect, wealth of knowledge, and kindness of our guide Rui.
Andrey was so knowledgeable of Portugal & wanted to make sure we understood the history behind his country. My mom & I could could feel the pride he took in Lisbon & the neighborhoods within.
The guide Andriy was really great, kind, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed spending time with him and learning about the Alfama district, and Lisbon. We also liked the small group, there were only 6 guests.
English was amazing and in depth knowledge of history and present times was a joy to experience- all the information was in context for the entire group. Easy walk for the city. Guide was one of the best we have ever booked!!
We chose this tour with Elvira after carrying out the Lisbon center tour. Stories, anecdotes, meetings with Alfama and its inhabitants... what about we came out enriched. Esperienza da provare!
Our tour Rui Fernandes of MyLisbonTours was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and gave everyone ample time to view not rushing us in any way.
Andriy was a perfect guide. He met us where and when we expected and told us what the tour involved. He was friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. The walking was relatively easy and downhill although there were a number of steps. The area we walked through was fascinating and Andriy’s commentary was very interesting. Alfama is well worth seeing. The streets are narrow and intimate and there were no crowds, just local people. We had a snack in a small cafe. The tour ended in a very well known place by the water. We would recommend this tour.
All of it was interesting. My tour guide was excellent too. Very knowledgeable and shared a balance of detail and variety.
What a wonderful experience! Our Alfama Walking Tour was a personal and intimate one, the four of us, two couples traveling together, and our wonderful Guide Andriy. Andriy was interesting, informative and a pleasure to walk the streets of Alfama with. He was always open to questions and went beyond discussing the Alfama neighborhood we were walking thru, sharing with us his insights and experiences on life in Portugal. Andriy's English is excellent and his University education and passion for Portugese history, internation relations and economics shines thru. Any tour in Lisbon led by Andriy is tour to be taken.
Extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. Wonderful experience touring the best part of Lisbon. So glad I booked this! Worth every penny!
